I haven't been able to find any mushrooms lately except when I went south to work at my Aunts house. It is warmer here and the snow is gone. I was in the back yard and noticed the first mushrooms I've spotted this year! A cluster of deformed brown mushrooms on a stump. They looked really cool! So I took some photo shots and a video of them. I seem to like the ones growing on stumps, they are part of the decomposition process for wood. Not able to identify these yet, I have a local mushroom identification book at home. That's part of the reason I photograph them. First the hunt for the mushroom then trying to figure out what species. Suffice to say I may not know even after looking at the book, which makes it still a mystery. I don't know why trying to search the description on google brings so many not good results

o! this is a 'winter mushroom' - it grows in northern hemisphere even in winter, among the snow (when the temperatures are not very low). fantastic! and quite a foto-friendly shroom! xD
