Steem Greeters Team Projects Weekly Report 28/5/2021

In the past weeks, there was several changes and adjustment that been made to some of Newcomers Achievement Program policies and guidelines, and more refinement to the work process.
Curation bot of steemcurator03 ; The Greeter
@symbionts team witness @dr-frankenstein has helped us set up the curation bot for the curation work of steemcurator03. Now curators of Steem Greeters been doing the curation work for the Newcomers Achievement Program through the Steem Greeters discord channel. I love this bot, thank you so much @dr-frankenstein!

• now no more missed login with steemcurator03 and missed upvote of "I thought I was using my own personal account" as before.
• great features of rejecting upvote the post that already approaching expiry period, post that is less than 12hours payout will be rejected, and curators may proceed with the catch-up vote procedures
• then one author may be upvote once every 48hours
  -we just added the feature of that no upvote given if the post payout already has more than 10$ worth of payout too..

Current situation of Steem Greeters Team
Some of the Newcomers Achievement program team still don't get the work process yet and most of them still confused about what to do especially the greeters' intern. They still in the phase of understanding and for existing greeters;adapting to the changes that I have suggest to them to follow on the new work process of greeter.
So the discord discussion mostly still about me copy/paste the explanation to the previous greeter to another greeter that just coming in and ask the same questions again, even if they can find the answers by scroll up a bit on the conversation or checking the #announcement channel where I put all the latest update and important changes that we made.
Apart from this, we have good discussion on giving labels and marking for better curation work and also discussion on reducing the maximum upvote worth for newcomers' achievement program.

We have introduced the policy of :
Newcomers Achievement Program eligibility: as we have limited resource and have to use it efficiently

• existing Steemit users from the year before 2021 with the reputation of 55 and above can participate in Newcomers Achievement Program but Curators of @steemcurator03 will not upvote their achievement tasks with steemcurator03; they will be labeled "Achievement 1/Alumni year they joined"
• existing Steemit users from the year before 2021 with a reputation below 55 with only 3 posts maximum published may join the program with the same benefit as newcomers of 2021.

then next,

• 500 SP Minnow Support Program integration with Steemit Nursery also will reduce the usage of steemcurator03 as we will use Booming support program that we have for Steemit Nursery Community for curation on this program, and we have introduced more strict guidelines such as no power down policy while under this program.
  Then contest on Steemit Nursery no more using steemcurator03 as prize contest, but the winners will be reward by putting their active post at Steemit Nursery community under booming curation list.

Introducing new marking or labelling
For curation work efficiency we have introduced a new label at Newcomers Community "Achievement 1 verified/R3" That R3 represents how many Rate point 3 for VP % of curation with steemcurator03.

Reduce the maximum upvote worth for Newcomers Achievement Program
Then we have decrease VP% allocation to achievement tasks too, as the newcomers keep flowing in like rush of flooded water, there can be about 60 achievements 1 for the period of 24 hours and steemcurator03 could not keep up with the numbers hence we have put the maximum of 5$ upvote worth for Achievement 1 and $3 for other achievements.

This week ongoing mission and plan:

Refine the roles of Nursery Mentors and introduce this role to the Country Representatives of Steemit and invite them to adopt the newcomers that are under 500SP Minnow Support program.
Some of what I have in mind are:
Nursery Mentors Responsiblity :

• making sure the newcomers under their care keep active on steemit, teach them how to be visible on steemit by engaging with other post and guide them with other social conduct of steem community, no plagiarism, no post same contents at multiple community, encourage them to finish the newcomers achievement program and checking on their total all time earning weekly if they have reach 500sp and letting @500SP Curator know about this so we can support next newcomers.
• guide them Newcomers into good community on steemit(community that having their own community curation account and working on building their SP,having organized team) that is align with their interest. Nursery Mentors will be doing this by introducing this newcomers to the community leaders/mods and give them achievement 1 post link of this newcomers, letting them know that this newcomers is already verified by steem greeters team. Ask them to guide and accept this newcomers into that particular community if they still accepting new members.

Then next my job will be guiding 500SP Minnow Support program team and Steemit Nursery team on the new policy and work process so the team may work more efficiently with the incoming flood of newcomers.
