Hi, all fellow Steemians,

Good morning from India,

This week was different as I spent most of my time inside my study room. I have almost completed my official contract and am now busy rescheduling my travel plan, starting in the third week of March. As I reported, my project has been postponed by one month because the man in charge of the project down under has requested the same.

I applied for the curator for the month of February but I guess the competition was different and tougher. I hope the changed pattern of selection process will bring something new and positive.

However, the last week was not much different because I did not find any official contest to participate in. Therefore, I participated in private contests. I am glad everything is doing fine and normal in the current "Learning Challenges," but I feel we should bring back normal writing contests if we want to increase participation. Therefore, I suggest there should be more challenges for travel, fiction, and creative content creators.

I have no hesitation in saying that @steamblogs will understand the sentiments of normal bloggers even if everything is normal but I would like to say that sometimes, even in normal conditions, we can feel uncomfortable which is natural but yet important to understand in a wider perception.

I suggest that we need some normal writing contests to increase the engagement of the challenges. I understand very well that as part of your experiment, "Learning Contests" can be a great way to motivate people and unleash their creativity.

But I still believe that if we want to make this 6-week contest more interesting by bringing back another category in these contests, then we have to take care of a few things:

We have to take care of variety. Can we make it a little more interesting by creating different categories in the learning challenge for different genres like poetry, short stories, and travel writing?

My questions are:

"Can the steemblog reserve a few contests for steemians who don't participate in these learning challenges?"

Can you provide one or two learning challenge categories for general blog writers to share their writings?

I think some creative content creators like @wakeupkitty, @joslud, and @weisser-rabe can do this job very well. Or how about recently nominated best content creators like @jyoti-thelight?

My power-ups and rewards summery:

I added SP to my wallet a couple of days ago, bringing my total to 43.5K+ SP, including the balance that I intend to add within a few days.

I feel, the crypto market is going northward and it will remain so in the coming days, but I spent time on the crypto wallets, but again the result was not as expected. Maybe I need to change my strategy. I again lost a couple of hundred dollars and see nothing changing in the coming days, but then miracles always happen.

Offline, I am rescheduling my travel plans before leaving for Australia, even if these trips will be of shorter durations and within 300–400 kilometers because the fog will not allow long-distance travel.

I did not start any new contest this week but posted a few in the travel section, and I am glad I did because it gave me immense satisfaction, and these posts brought unforgettable memories back. I will continue with this idea in the coming weeks, hoping that my fellow Steemians will find it interesting and enjoy my travel posts.

My Travel Experience: New South Wales

Newbie Promotional Program

A New Initiative to help newbies

To support newbies, I am planning to help them in their writing journey on Steemit with a couple of new strategies, like a "Travel Writing Contest" that will encourage them to share about their region and country.

I am proud to announce once again that I supported as many newbies as I could through various methods, including setting them as beneficiaries in my posts every week, which helps them stay positive. I always vote for the best posts according to their quality and support them in my capacity as moderator and Steem Representative.

As usual, my online or offline activities did not stop me from visiting and finding promising authors from the newcomers' community and selecting my quota of two of the best, under 50 rank, irrespective of their club status, communities, and countries.

As always, I spent time with a couple of newbies on their or my posts. I feel like more and more newbies are getting in touch with me, and that's heartwarming when they are among them as they approach me.

I supported two more newbies, keeping them as beneficiaries in my different posts. As I always mention, I will keep supporting newbies because my "Newbie Support Program is working well, and I feel good when I see newbies feel motivated and respond happily through their comments.

My selected users

As a routine, I selected the first "newbie," @linitaroz, the first beneficiary of the week,

I selected for this post:

Pick a Word, Paint a Story #08

As usual, I am writing a message on the selected posts, and some of them understand the meaning of my message, so they feel happy and respond positively because they feel someone cares for them.

Moderator Duty

I completed my weekly duty as moderator, which took a lot of my time but had too few real travel posts, but mostly diary posts. However, the travelers posting their travel experiences compensated for my time and efforts.

Again, I am trying my best to support genuine queries by Steemians, both new and old, through various channels to support them in spreading awareness and pacifying them in case anyone has a problem.

Once again, I am proud to announce that as SR, I try my best to support all good posts, but let me request the authorities once again that the SRs should get more power to support Steemians with extra voting power.

My Account Summary

Screenshot (2733).png

As usual, my CSI is in the range of 10-15, as I am supporting all who need my support; however, this week I could not visit as many posts because writing reports, moderation, and curation kept me busy on other assignments.

These are my regular posts.

Despite all the shortcomings, including the inability to post in official challenges, I have posted daily. I admit that there were no 'learning contests' for me in the just concluded season, so I did not post this week again.

As usual, I am doing my job without any partiality, always thinking beyond any specific country or community, and supporting everyone on the platform on an equal basis. Last but not least, thanks to all the Steemians for all they do to support me and the Steemit platform in general.

That's all for this week!

Thanks all
have a nice time,
Yours sincerely

Hi friend,

First you have a typo @steamblogs

Secondly, I agree with you. It's great that whatever is focused on out of fear for AI but it isn't said that won't happen with what is suggested. Next to that, I wonder how the result will be presented. Without words? How many can also join if everyone is forced to show a video, make it, upload it on YouTube and so on? Let's not forget that many do not have 24/7 access to power and internet access.

I also wonder what the limited courses will have for effect on what is posted. It feels as if the Steemit Team no longer cares about: good, quality, entertainment and so on and I like to know the reason.

To answer your question I am working on it although I can't promise anything but I will involve the travel aspect. I assume the community did not set rules if it comes to the length of text?

First of it was not a typo, but I intentionally never mention any official accounts because I know the one it's been addressed to read every word.

"To answer your question I am working on it although I can't promise anything but I will involve the travel aspect. I assume the community did not set rules if it comes to the length of text?"

I am waiting eagerly.

Greetings, dear friend.
It's great to read some of your opinions regarding the learning challenges. I think you've hit the nail on the head with your comments regarding the lack of supply and the concentration on "how to" proposals, leaving out topics for "blog writers" as you call that group that has not finished getting involved in the SLC

Can we make it a little more interesting by creating different categories in the learning challenge for different genres, such as poetry, short stories and travel stories?
I would include the visual arts: drawing, sculpture, painting, photography.

I support your proposals to create broader themes and establish categories and levels of difficulty or depth: beginner, medium, demanding, God level. 🤩🤩

Nice to read you, this month I have been little involved with activities outside the platform. Thanks for mentioning me, I'm going to think about a creative proposal for bloggers.

Hugs

PS: congratulations on your support for the newcomers,

I would include the visual arts: drawing, sculpture, painting, photography.

I am sure you would love to add these topics in your list, but I feel photography is pretty much covered under travel and as far drawing, sculpture, painting, I am almost nil in these, so I leave them to you to add in the list.

I hope a few of my learned friends also come forward with their choices of topics. Thanks again.
