Hi, all fellow Steemians,
Good morning from India,
Yes, this week was a little different for me, and I started doing them differently on the Steemit platform, beginning with my last week's report itself.
I usually like to write about travel, and that is what I did this week. I also started a contest this week on Travel Steam, which will give Steemians a different experience as they write about travel but with a different theme.
Apart from this, I made a change in my "Newbie Promotional Program." I have raised the rank limit from 50 to 55, as I feel this will give me a little more liberty to select promising Steemians. I have a plan to provide SP to promising newcomers for 15 days to one month depending on their performance.
My contest in the Traveling Steem Community
I feel the Steemit team is serious about the changes despite having their own concerns with AI, but that's possible with any topic, and I hope they understand it as much as I do. I am also glad that two of the respected Steemians have responded and taken the challenge, as they know we need some normal writing contests to increase the engagement of the challenges.
A Travel Contest With a Difference:"My Unique Travel Experience"
I am sure they will add value to "Learning Contests." I believe that if we want to make this 6-week contest more interesting by bringing back another category in these contests, then we have to take care of a few things.
I applied for a slot in Learning Season-23, and I am hopeful the changed pattern of the selection process will bring something for me to participate in the coming season.
My power-ups and reward summary
I added 200 SP to my wallet this week, bringing my total close to 44.3K+ SP, including the balance that I intend to add in the next few days.
Offline, I tried my best rescheduling my travel plans before leaving for Australia, but rain and fog continue to stop me from going out, but hopefully the weather will improve by the weekend, and I will go ahead with the first phase of my short travel plan.
I did yet another travel post in Travel Steem, and this was closer to home. I did a post about Old Delhi and its culture.
Newbie Promotional Program
A New Initiative to help newbies
To support newbies, I am planning to help them in their writing journey on Steemit with a couple of new strategies, like a "Travel Writing Contest" that will encourage them to share about their region and country.
I am proud to announce that I supported as many newbies as I could through various methods, including setting them as beneficiaries in my posts every week, which helps them stay positive. I have made a change from this week that I will support newbies up to rank 55 in place of 50 so to support more posts according to their quality and support them in my capacity as moderator and Steem representative.
As usual, my online or offline activities did not stop me from visiting and finding promising authors from the newcomers' community and selecting my quota of two of the best, under 50 rank, irrespective of their club status, communities, and countries.
As always, I spent time with a couple of newbies on their or my posts. I feel like more and more newbies are getting in touch with me, and that's heartwarming when they are among them as they approach me.
I supported two more newbies, keeping them as beneficiaries in my different posts. As I always mention, I will keep supporting newbies because my "Newbie Support Program is working well, and I feel good when I see newbies feel motivated and respond happily through their comments.
My selected users
As a routine, I selected the first "newbie," @shamiaritu96, the first beneficiary of the week.
I selected for this post:
Achievement - 1 || Introduce Myself
Here is my post:
As usual, I am writing a message on the selected posts, and some of them understand the meaning of my message, so they feel happy and respond positively because they feel someone cares for them.
I posted a comment on her post, but there was no reaction.
My second newbie beneficiary is @elasanz.
Her post
Mi presentación a esta gran familia
My post
A message on that post, whom I have set as beneficiaries in this post, but no reply from her, although she noticed my comment.
Moderator Duty
I completed my weekly duty as moderator, which took a lot of my time but had too few real travel posts, but mostly diary posts. However, the travelers posting their travel experiences compensated for my time and efforts.
Again, I am trying my best to support genuine queries by Steemians, both new and old, through various channels to support them in spreading awareness and pacifying them in case anyone has a problem. Once again, I am proud to announce that as SR, I try my best to support all good posts.
My Account Summary
As usual, my CSI is in the range of 10-15, as I am supporting all who need my support; however, this week I could not visit as many posts because writing reports, moderation, and curation kept me busy on other assignments.
These are my regular posts.
I have posted daily and made as many comments as I can. I admit that there were no 'learning contests' for me in the just concluded season, so I did not participate in the official contest this week again.
As usual, I am doing my job without any partiality, always thinking beyond any specific country or community, and supporting everyone on the platform on an equal basis. Last but not least, thanks to all the Steemians for all they do to support me and the Steemit platform in general.
That's all for this week!
Thanks all; have a nice time ahead.
Yours sincerely,

It's good to hear your project still runs but I wonder why it is called successful if those you set for a beneficiary don't respond. Is it a lack of SP, can't they translate what you wrote, does it look to much like an autoreply of a bot? Do they find it normal to be given a hand by someone who worked hard for it?
I wish you better weather and safe journey.

Maybe they don't have enough SP to respond to my message, or maybe they still don't know the meaning of being a beneficiary. I get 50 to60% replies and that's enough for me. Thanks, I take everything in my stride and move to next week.

It's not that I do it for their response because most of them have not enough resources to vote or respond to everyone. By the one of them
@elasanz have responded thrice on different pages including here.

Me disculpo por no responder, pero es que he tenido algunos problemas personales.

I have no problem because I know most newbies have not enough SP to respond, or they are not regular in the initial stage. I wish you the best on Steemit for your future journey.
