Dear Steemit team,
I'm glad to report my last week's activities as a representative of Steem, as always it was an amazing week full of numerous fun activities and some adventurous ones too! I was among the 100 most active Steemians on the platform. Let me describe my activities in detail:
Personal Activities:
I was very active I published 9 posts which included 4 engagement contests, food, diary games, and personal contests. I've commented constructively, commended and guided when necessary. Last week's contest was on Skyscrapers in my city, only a few users joined and I understand because Skyscrapers are in advanced cities, well this week's topic will be simple and I hope to have many entries.
I've used my little Steem Power to support users across the platform and this is showing on my Voting Csi ~ 18.9 ( 0.00 % self, 176 upvotes, 115 accounts, last 7d ).
My Encounter With Plagiarism, AI Users And Abuses:
It was one of those weeks I had to deal with so many Abuses, one of them normally copied from fellow users used a paraphrasing tool to paraphrase the information and then published the content as his, he uses AI and I got him before, since he was an unrepentant abuser I had to label him as an abuser in the Newcomers' community.
I want to seize this opportunity and call on all the community's Admins and Moderators to always check on a tag each user has in the Newcomer's community before supporting their content because some old users can turn bad and lose their verification tag.
I've encountered some plagiarism but mostly from newbies, and I've warned and guided them on how to produce quality content.
My Greeters Work:
Our work over there is not easy, some greedy and selfish users want to milk the system and can go to any extent to achieve their aims. I tried my best there and last week I was able to verify more than 15 achievement tasks including achievement 1 tasks and others. I've made up to 10 different video calls with both old users but mostly new ones. As for Reward Farmers, scammers and abusers, I was able to catch as many as and I've labelled them there.
I observed that these abusers and even those who don't have a Verification tag in the Newcomer's community are writing in other communities, so I want to reemphasized that communities and Curators should always check users' tags in the Newcomer's community before giving them support.
I want to use this opportunity to thank fellow Steem Representatives, and genuine users who are always on the lookout and report any phishy or dubious account to us. Together we will at least limit the number of abuse, if not silence all on the platform.
Well, that was it, I believe I'm able to touch most parts of my activities, and I hope to continue to be indispensable! Thank you!

Dear @goodybest - I'm sure you're experiencing a lot of grief doing what you do in the Newcomers Community.... Nevertheless, I think your appeals miss the point a bit: there is no law that requires you to take the path to the Steem via the Newcomers Community and the corresponding verification.
It has become common practice, yes. It is encouraged by many communities and sometimes made a condition, yes. But it is a purely theoretical construct, an offer.
We have had good contact on various occasions, in posts, in discussions. In all this, it was never a problem that I never came forward in the newcomers community, nor was I verified anywhere. I would never do that, it goes too far for me! You know yourself that many users see it the same way, avoid the procedure and still blog successfully here.
So your conditions are apparently not fair to people who belong to certain nationalities or cultures that you obviously believe have more affinity to abuse. To those who don't like to fight their way through the steem jungle on their own.
Please leave it to the admins of the other Communties to decide for or against such procedures! We are allowed to do that...

I allow myself to respond because I am currently part of the Newcomers community, created by cryptokannon at the time to welcome new users.
The main purpose of the Newcomer community is to guide and support newcomers in their arrival to Steemit.
However, fake accounts are created daily that only seek to take advantage of the system, so through the newcomer community, we dedicate ourselves to verifying that they are real users, not farming or fake accounts.
At no time is everyone being forced to perform Achievement 1, but it is a recommendation. Everyone, as you have said, is free to take the desired path. It just doesn't seem appropriate to attack or discredit the work we do in the newcomer community, which by the way we do as a collaboration to support all those who legitimately want to make their way on Steemit.
Not everything should be seen under the glass of our ideas, it is important to look at all the related aspects, especially what concerns avoiding account farming, plagiarism and abuse.

Of course! As a recommendation, as an offer. I like the idea that there is one possible, guided way to enter the Steem system.
But you say there is no pressure. "At no time is everyone being forced to perform Achievement 1...". - Yes, there is. The moment this participation is made a condition for other activities. Yes, it is. At the moment when the comments on the welcome do not really indicate a voluntary procedure, but on the contrary the presentation seems to be without alternative. It is, when users who do not submit to it are labelled (branded?).
And now me again: I receive a lot of support and attention without having "completed" the Newcomers Achievements. Where do the newbies learn that such a thing is quite possible, that there are no binding guidelines for the path here...?
