When I began to collaborate in the administration of the Newcomers community, I assumed the main responsibility of trying to clean up the community, since several acts of abuse had already been reported: Accounts that are opened with the sole objective of seeking the rewards granted to encourage new ones to grow. These accounts are known as cultivating or farming accounts.
There are many ways that these types of accounts can be detected and I have done the job of educating greeters and supporting them and supporting each other to do a good job.
We have created the "Under Review" tag to place on these users with the characteristics of farmer.
These users have specific characteristics:
- The main one is that they do not contribute with your investment to grow your accounts, they simply extract all the rewards obtained by elaborating the achievements.
That is why I think it is important that users are taught from the start to turn on at least 50% of their rewards and participate in club5050 from the beginning.
A user who invests is unlikely to commit bad practices, or at least less likely.
Today I had the task of changing 84 labels to "Under Review". This was reported by @endplagiarism04: Some Fake Accounts - 2,586 STEEM Out through 86 Accounts
Of course, first check each user and verify the veracity of the information received. And proceeded to answer about the results.
Of these 84 accounts, only 5 are active, the rest are inactive. I have also changed the labels to Under Review.
