intro2.png

The period from June 10 to June 16, 2022 represented the second week of the June session for the curation task on articles belonging to the fields of technology and finance entrusted to the Quality Control team, which experienced this week the inclusion of two new members, @ozenozge and @moecki, a change that was necessary to breathe new spirit into the group, and we can only thank the two outgoing members for their service, wishing them more brilliance for his next tasks within our platform.

For this week, there was a drop in the number of upvoted articles with 112 posts, compared to the previous week, where the total number was 131 posts but a number remains within the overall average of the previous weeks, so this drop does not confused us, with the number 131 of articles skipped also, and their reasons repeating and multiplying, in spite of the efforts made by the curators to overcome this issue, we see the same overruns every week, so as usual we ask all users to read the notes that we write so that they can benefit from our affirmative vote and enter our picks for the best works of the week. We have also witnessed 7 articles containing plagiarism, a worrying figure as it grows by 700% compared to last week, a practice that we try to counter by all available means and call for avoiding it due to the harm it causes to you and communities.

The observations of our curators :

@irawandedy 1st-day

In the curation period on 10th June 2022 I checked 31 posts, but 9 posts I left because they are not relevant to the Theme to be curated, 2 posts have been curated 3x over a 7 day period and 3 posts did not join the club, and 2 posts detected plagiarism. In general I find a lot of content that uses the #fintech tag, but conflicts with the theme required for curation support, so I ignore it.

There are 15 Upvotes received by users today, if grouped by language usage, 14 content in English and 1 content in Indonesian. Meanwhile, when viewed from club status, users who are members of club5050 get support for 9 posts, 4 content with club75 and for club100 2 posts.

No Club: For curation, I prioritize accounts that are members of the club, and the curation scheme by giving a higher percentage of votes if the club status is at club100 or club75, but the quality of the content remains an important point. I hope my curation method will trigger them to continue to improve their club status over time.

@fredquantum2nd-day

The volume and quality of the articles under the #fintech tag today dropped drastically. The reduced volume can be attributed to the participation of users in the ongoing challenge while we hope that the quality would improve with time.

There were a lot of articles that were skipped due to copyright-free image complications, many users have not properly utilized images in their articles as most are not license-free. I have suggested that users should utilize Pixabay, Pexels, and Flickr, to mention a few for free images.

The measures taken on the use of images during my curation day would enable users to identify the importance and as time goes on, it would circulate and correct them on the use of free images.

In addition, there were two cases of plagiarism, one was self-plagiarism as the author reposted one of his articles that had been published a few weeks ago and the other was a direct copy from a pdf material and an Internet source. In conclusion, the total number of articles not curated today exceeds the curated ones, having 60% of the total checked articles.

@kouba01 3rd-day

In the second week of the June curation mission session, 18 articles were upvoted on, an increase of 12.5% over the previous week. The percentages of voting bonuses varied depending on the status of the club that belongs to the user, and the level of writing available in the article.

Most of the articles were published in three languages distributed as follows: 77% in English, 11% in Spanish, 6% in Turkish and 6% in Indonesian. We also noticed an imbalance between the two areas (72% for finance and 28% for tech), an imbalance we hope to avoid in the coming weeks and we invite users to give the tech the same attention. This week also saw a discrepancy between articles owned by club100 users at 17% versus 55% for club5050 and 28% for club75, and we invite repeat users who want to get a higher vote to raise the value of the club.

In addition, we did not find any plagiarism and 15 articles were rejected for various reasons, the most important of which is the low level of writing or the absence of club membership. We also noticed many articles that were part of the challenge contest, which were voted by SC02, so two votes cannot be written at the same time, and more than one tag cannot be combined in the same article.

@moecki 4th-day

My first day as a curator was very exciting and exhausting. I read and checked 39 posts with the tag #fintech. Unfortunately, there were not as many very good posts as I had hoped for. That's why I was only able to upvote 13 posts. I felt especially sorry for one scientific article that was very valuable in terms of content, but had not marked the quotes correctly. This was pointed out to the user, who fortunately wrote a very good exclusive article the next day. I have read many posts that use the tag #fintech but do not match the theme (finance, technology, business, science). Also, there is still uncertainty among users and mods about fulfilling the club requirements. Since one user was not classified appropriately even by the mod, I still voted the user with a low rate for motivation because of the content.

All in all, I would like to see more high-quality contributions next week so that I can support the users with high votes.

@ozenozge 5th-day

During my curation day, I reviewed 30 posts and only 15 were upvoted. Among the posts I skipped, two authors got 3X Sc05 upvotes within 7 days. In addition, the sources were not cited correctly and the images used were copyrighted because of the posts that were skipped. Unfortunately, plagiarism was encountered in one post. All these authors have been warned. Apart from that, another main problem I encountered was the use of different curation tags by the authors in the same post. In particular, the #learnwithsteem and #fintech tags were unconsciously included in the same posts. During my voting this week, finance was heavily outweighed. While only 2 of the voted contents were related to technology, 13 of them were financial.

@pelon53 6th-day

During my curation day I reviewed 33 posts, but only received upvotes on 21 posts. And I skipped 12 post, 7 post used the tag wrongly, 3 post did not belong to any club and 2 post had been upvoted during the week 3 times.

Users who did not belong to any club, were encouraged to join club5050, club75 or club100. Users who used the wrong tag, I alerted them to make a note not to use the wrong tag.

@chiabertrand 7th-day

During my curation this week, I noticed a decrease in terms of content quality as compared to last week. The number of articles published under #Fintech had reduced this week as I came across fewer articles and authors are still publishing articles more in the #Finance category than in #Technology category

I skipped 13 articles because of several reasons which I will be explaining below

Some of the articles were content not related to #Fintech, Other articles had already received support from another curator team. Please authors should try as much as possible to avoid using tags from different themes in one article. Only one tag should be used which is specific to what you are creating the article on.

Please stop using #Fintech and #Learnwithsteem in one article. Either use #Fintech or #learnwithsteem but never use both because they belong to different themes

I skipped other articles because the authors had already received support from SC05 account 3X in the past 7-days

As usual, I continued rewarding all the Mods/Admins that had reviewed articles in their respective Communities. Please I call on all MODs/Admins to endeavor in reviewing articles published under their Communities because this will always help ease work for the curators

Why?

For the curation period Friday, June 10, 2022, I had difficulty determining the post to be the Top Post for today's curation, but I tried to choose one of the posts that was presented according to the business they run daily, he described the stages of the product being promoted, starting from the preparation of materials, processing and displaying the results of products that have been processed as a Home Industry. This post raises the topic of "HOUSEHOLD BUSINESS (URT) Want to promote the super crunchy noodle naget".

Why?

The author has made a valid culinary review in this piece of article. Some of the criteria for selecting this article are; the originality of the content, user experience, and well-arranged content.

It's a detailed review that involves the highlights of the menu of the business with prices attached to each. What they have ordered, and its cost in local currency and STEEM. Adequate location was added and all images were well captioned.

Users in this area of the country can easily utilize this review to make decisions if they'd be interested in the service rendered at Bakso Laris. It deserves the top spot for the day.

Why?

A good course that first addresses the fundamentals of css3, with a lot of pedagogy by mixing theory and practice, through a simple project. Just a note, personally I prefer to code with Brackets rather than VSC which has too heavy indentation, generating lots of lines with little code.

My choice this week was not very difficult. Among the posts I've read, it was a post that stood out easily due to its quality and the compatibility of its content with the theme. As is known, there is a serious decline in the crypto market. While the author explains the reason for this thought in a plain language that everyone can understand, he also emphasizes the bear and bull market cycle in the market. It also makes technical analysis about the current situation of the Steem price, which will attract the attention of everyone on the Steemit platform, and makes predictions about the future movements of the Steem price and warns about the risks. I recommend everyone to read it as I believe it is useful content for anyone on this platform.

Why?

The author shows how Cambridge University has created an index to estimate the energy consumption of Bitcoin. This index estimates a lower limit and an upper limit, based on the consumption of the equipment miners use.

They concluded that Bitcoin consumes a large amount of energy. One year of Bitcoin's energy consumption is enough to power the entire University of Cambridge for 911 years.

During my curation this week, I found this user's article top-notch because he took time in explaining in detail what is custodial and non-custodial wallets. He gave advantages and disadvantages of these two wallets and their differences and finally, a practical example of swapping tokens using these two wallets which he use his steemit wallet as a noncustodial wallet and his Binance as a custodial wallet in carrying out the practical example with clear screenshots
