Week 80!
My Steemian friends,
Earlier in the week I read two posts;

Two posts with two different views, but two posts that also spoke to my heart.
Yes, I read both posts twice.
Based on what I have read and what I have been feeling for a long time, it is time for me to be honest and talk. Yes, being truthful is part of the healing process.
I no longer wish to be part of the Steemit Representative team. In my eyes, there are Steemians who do much more than what I am currently doing and who deserve to be a representative.
I am no longer an admin in a community; I am not a moderator; I have not applied to be part of a curating team for three months now, and these days my posts are limited.
I need to find myself again, and right now all I want to do is write when I want, help and support when I can, and enjoy my family and my Creator again. I’ve been through tough times the last couple of months. I am to blame for my marriage that nearly ended because of Steemit. There are so many things that I need to put a plaster on so that it can heal.
So, my friends, this will be my last post as Steem Representative. However, it is not my last post. I will still be around, and hopefully, I can get back to writing the kind of posts I was writing way back.
Time to reflect on the week!

World Smile South Africa
I am still going to carry on with this project.
In fact, I am hook, line, and sinker committed to not only putting smiles on children’s faces but also filling their tummies. I think that this is also part of my healing process.
This week I came to the realization that there is so much to do to get this project started. We are now a handful of people willing to help and I have given them my ideas. It is now for the others to also put their ideas forward so that we can finalize the way forward.
General
A helping hand was lent to two Steemians on WhatsApp and Discord, and various others via the platform.
▸Africa:
I will stay committed to the Steemians from Africa and will give them my support and help where I can.
▸ Helping curators:
One curator was helped this week. I will continue lending a helping hand to new curators.
▸SEC20 Helping teams:
Assistance was given to one of the teams. This is where I am going to draw the line. Teams that apply must be able to fulfill their duties without any help.
Issues encountered:
I encountered no problems this week.
All that is left is to thank the Steemit team and all of my Steemian supporters, and yes, friends, for standing by me for 80 weeks! It's been a long but wonderful road. Thank you!

Jokes aside, I know this must not have been an easy decision, but I believe it was the right one for now. The dedication and passion you’ve shown in this role, and in general, deserve applause. I’m sure this step will bring balance and in your life, which is so very important. Of course, we’ll all be eagerly waiting for your return whenever you’re ready. You’ve contributed so much to Steem, even at the expense of your personal time, and that’s something that must not have been very easy.
I really hope things are good with your marriage and that you and your spouse enjoy many happy years together.
Having said that, I believe Steemit gave you a lot in return too: friendships, a way to find catharsis, a sense of helping others, a polish to your writing, and much more—it's always about give and take. Always!

Hello, my friend!
The #healing-journeys was something I needed. Self-talk is of utmost importance to take on challenges with a more optimistic outlook. This is what happened to me the last couple of days.
It now feels as if a heavy weight has been lifted. In my eyes, I was not doing enough for Steemit to deserve the title.
I will now, in my own time, carry on supporting and helping Steemians where I can.
I've always said that Steemit can never pay me in money for what I am doing. But the value I am getting out of my Steemit journey, besides the earnings, can never be measured in money. It is priceless!
Will I ever apply again for the role? Only time will tell. As for now, I am enjoying the extra time on hand.

SR is just a title. You will always be a role model and a guide to others. I'm glad you have finally taken a step that will make you happy.
There's a time for everything. When you felt you could take responsibility you did it remarkably. Now you can't or don't want to, then it's only right to let go, instead of holding on to it and being unfair to yourself and others.

Family is everything! Taking a rest and focusing on what brings you the most joy is the way to remain happy and focusing more on our creator is what gives lasting happiness. While I will miss your steem representative reports, the most joy is that I will still have the opportunity to read you post and your charity programs with the children. I wish you well my friend. The best decision is to stand tall and relinquish some activities that threaten our relationships. I am sure you will reconsider your decision because Steemit needs you in whatever you do. One need not be an admin, mod, or Steem curator to guide and support Steeminas and you do that pretty well. I don't want to write a long comment but as we say, "You should listen to what I am trying to say."
