Dear Steemians, Dear Steemit Team!
As always, my passion for reports is limited ;-)) Once again, I'm using the final weeks just before our big move as an excuse and explanation. In fact, I'm still on Steem every day, checking my feed, my Dream Steem Community and everything that's important and new.
And there was a lot in the pipeline again! Much of it is absolutely welcome from my point of view:
Changes to the design of the Steemit Engagement Challenges - long requested and demanded: I very much hope that this puts us on the road to more individualised blogs and more distinctive Communities.
Further loosening of the Community Curators - this month I have special attention and appreciation for Team 7 of @philhughes, who professionally has a real idea of what we are doing here mainly out of fun and excitement, partly certainly for monetary reasons and overall full of enthusiasm and hopes: I expect new impulses, a focus on bloggers who have so far attracted little attention, precise analyses of the current state of the platform and suggestions for the future. Okay, I've just realised that the bar is really high ;-))
One change that I (and I'm sure many other users) have been waiting for in vain - the implementation of the bookmark function that Witness @moecki has developed and whose confirmation has probably already been available for some time... Would round off the late summer perfectly... ;-))
And besides such nice changes, there is of course always the normal, everyday stuff: some private activities here and there on the Steem, curation with my and the Dream Steem's Community and Charity accounts. We've reached a nice level of regular participation; new authors continue to join us and overall we're pleased to have a good level of very diverse fictional contributions under our roof.
What I find regrettable here and on the whole Steem is the departure of some of our favourite users. The reasons for this are mostly a matter of speculation, but I have been increasingly informed that there could be legal problems in various countries if certain (taboo) topics were dealt with publicly by the authors. We don't have this kind of censorship in Germany, but I imagine that such serious consequences could prevent me from continuing to be active here. Do we have a way to make ourselves visible or readable only to a selected group of people? I haven't noticed such a function, but I am familiar with it from other platforms...
Okay, that'll do ;-)) Soon I'll be reporting back obediently from the pampas in no man's land...
Yours @weisser-rabe
Deutsche Version:
Liebe Steemians, liebes Steemit Team!
Euer @weisser-rabe
So big move is just around the corner...
Wish you all the very best!
Yes, these changes are certainly the talk of the town, and as a part of this ecosystem, I’m genuinely excited about the new features and ongoing developments by team & developers. I think, it's not just a shift, but a significant step forward. Otherwise everything becomes stale and stagnant!
This is undoubtedly a milestone—the implementation of the bookmark function by Moecki. He is truly an asset to the chain! In fact, all the active witnesses and developers deserve our attention and appreciation in any way we can offer.

Bloggers from which countries are you talking about? More recently there was this issue with X and Brazil, but this should be some completely different case.
Personally, I support closing the entire platform, if that can be possible, so that posts can only be seen with registration. Maybe a lot of people think that this will stop new people from signing up, but maybe it will be just the opposite. And many people would reduce the degree of anonymity that is needed right now for many reasons...🤔

I recently received this information from Algeria, Pakistan, Indonesia and Egypt. There could be more countries that also strictly enforce a similar set of values...

I really appreciate your concern, so stupid of me but recently i get to know that everyone can read our articles without registration. Startled i was.
The whole profile is public.
I thought about the posts where i had shared my stance boldly or social issues, a fear of being read by someone i know.
Nothing was fake but still steemit has become a comfort zone which must be protected.
always fun reading your reports:)

I hope I can help Team 7 make a solid impact via curation this month. I realize it's a new thing on Steem to give users who are relatively new to the platform this type of role, and I'm focused on not squandering that opportunity. I'm also learning new things about the platform as I navigate more, and I plan on discussing those thoughts soon.
Good luck with your upcoming move!

"Yay! 🎉 Great report as always @weisser-rabe! 😊 Love seeing the updates on Steemit's changes and features. 👍 The new Engagement Challenge design and Community Curators' loosening are amazing moves! 💪 I'm excited to see more individualized blogs and unique communities emerging. 🌟 As for the bookmark function, fingers crossed it'll be implemented soon! 🔥 And I totally get your concerns about user departure due to censorship issues. 😔 It's high time we prioritize users' freedom of expression on this platform. 💬 Do you think implementing a private or restricted audience feature could help address this issue? 🤔 I'd love to hear more thoughts from the community! 💡 Also, don't forget to vote for our witness @xpilar.witness by going to https://steemitwallet.com/~witnesses and show your support for continued growth and success in the Steem ecosystem! 🔥💕"

I just realised that this seems to be a new strategy: please don't do that. These comments, which only summarise posts, really have no added value and do not serve communication or interaction. And the translation into emoji fireworks is terrible - in my text-savvy eyes. Not good advertising, which you seem to want to do with it. More of a turn-off...

LOL "Do we have a way to make ourselves visible or readable only to a selected group of people? I haven't noticed such a function, but I am familiar with it from other platforms..."
Then why don't you just create your own WhatsApp group? Now that you're getting more and more upvotes for increasingly worse posts, that voting bubble would suit you well. Ridiculous! I don’t see any benefit, so feel free to set up your own private little room here. Sorry

Entschuldige.
