Happy Caturday: orange cats around the garden, แมวส้มในสวน

Whenever I felt low and melancholy, I just had to look at photos of my orange cats. I missed them a lot when I had to be back in the city. That’s probably why my energy went quite low and slow. These cats were amazing companions with quiet sensitivity and psychic perception. They also guard the house at night, they would sit on the wall by the gate looking out for stray dogs and nasty stray cats.

เวลาอยู่ในเมืองเราจะไม่สดชื่นเหมือนอยู่ต่างจังหวัด กับแมวส้มของเรา เราคิดถึงแมวส้มมาก และรู้สึกดีขึ้นมาก เมื่อได้ดูรูปแมวที่บ้านสวน แมวส้มใจดีและอ่อนโยนมาก แมวจะรู้ว่าเรามีอารมณ์เป็นอย่างไร และจะคอยให้กำลังใจเราด้วยการมานั่งเฝ้าใต้เก้าอี้บ้าง หรือมานอนอยู่ใกล้เก้าอี้เราบ้าง

พอตกกลางคืนแมวส้มจะนั่งเฝ้าที่ประตูบ้าน เหมือนคอยระวังภัยไม่ให้เข้าบ้าน พวกแมวมองดูสุนัขจรจัดสามสี่ตัวที่ชอบวิ่งผ่านหน้าบ้าน แต่จะไม่ยอมให้แมวเร่ร่อนที่ก้าวร้าวเจ้าบ้านเด็ดขาด เราเคยได้ยินเสียงแมวส้มทะเลาะกับแมวดำต่างถิ่นหน้าประตูบ้าน แมวดำไม่สามารถเข้ามาในบ้านได้. เราต้องรีบไปไล่แมวดำไปที่อื่น ตอนนี้เพื่อนบ้านที่อยู่ไกลไปหน่อยก็เลี้ยงดูมันอยู่. แต่ก็บ่นว่ามันร้ายกาจมาก ไปทำร้ายแมวอีกตัวจนมีแผลเต็มหน้า เราดูแมวดำไม่ผิด มันเป็นอันธพาลตัวจริง

I am very grateful to have orange cats around the house. They ask for very little and keep themselves busy around the house acting like security guards in the night time. They chase small snakes and scorpions away from the front garden. I really do miss them a lot and hope that they are healthy and safe at the farmhouse in the countryside.
