Sorry, but, I found it one of those boring films I have ever seen. The topic is good, but the story, boring.

no need to apologize. Everyone is different and I had a "maybe" on the end because the film could go either way depending on the person. For me the cringe-effect was pretty strong in this one and James put on a stellar performance.

This movie runs in a genre that I like, and my hopes were high when I saw McAvoy's name in the cast lineup, but yeah, I ended up feeling disappointed. Maybe it's just me and a few other people, because on iMDB this movie scored a 7/10 rating and 83% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Thanks by the way for doing this.

Normally, when I find a movie's plot progression to be completely implausible I will hate on it but perhaps it is just an appreciation for McAvoy that kept me going. Since we have both seen it I'm not afraid to spoil anything for you but the main thing that made the movie seem a bit absurd was the amount of stuff the family tolerates before they finally up and leave and then the need to return to the house because of a stuffed animal is an odd thing to put into the movie. Perhaps it was an element of the original Dutch movie and they had to stick with that. I plan on watching the original because often the reason why they remake a movie in English is superior to remake in most ways such as The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Oldboy. According to what I have read the original version of this movie is far more creepy. Could be worth a look

That's the part when I said to myself, "Enuff!"
They don't have to, do they?
One of the English remake I do enjoy is Amulance (2022). Have you seen it?If you have seen it, it would be great to know what your'e thinking about it. Or may it be you have written about it?
