Wind River - A Film That Got Full Criticism

by Taylor Sheridan; The film Wind River, which he brought to the world of cinema with his script and direction, has managed to get his name written among my favorite films recently. The production, which managed to present a complete visual feast with its action-packed scenes sprinkled next to the drama story, offered a very high viewing pleasure with a duration of about 2 hours. It was one of the rare productions where I enjoyed the performance of every actor.

Cory Lambert, played by Jeremy Renner, is a loner who spends most of his days on a mountain slope, hunting wild animals that harm livestock. He has 2 children. He is a good man whose daughter tragically passed away and could not continue his marriage due to these reasons. While he is continuing his life in his job where he feels happy, he comes across a dead Indian body as a result of the traces he has taken. Cory, who knew his dead daughter's close friend Natalie for the first time, cannot get over the shock of the event for a while. Although he realizes from the marks on his body that the death occurred in the form of murder, he calls the FBI as he should.

Assigned to this case by her superiors, Jane Banner (Elizabeth Olsen) is a female agent who is new to the profession and has just graduated from the training stage. Heeled shoes on his feet and -almost- knee-deep snow; a coat that can be worn in sunny weather and the weather being minuscule... The task given to him is; to report whether it was murder or not. If it's reported as murder, it'll be an entire FBI case. A new FBI agent by profession, he is also a hunter who is adept at following clues. While the remaining minutes of the movie are about the search for the murderer of these two, they create surprising and breathtaking minutes.

A successful and realistic production that ends in a way you never expected with its real-life story. Movies shouldn't just be movies with lots of action scenes and lots of romance. In real life, many events progress slowly. This flow is handled very well in these kinds of productions.
