Snowpiercer (TV series): It's disappointing

I heard about this series I think that two days before its release, I had no idea that they had made a series of an excellent film like Snowpiercer, so I set out to see the trailer and the truth is that I expected something better, but still I set out to see it and well, it's a total disappointment.

Snowpiercer is an excellent film that shows us a post-apocalyptic world where everyone is practically frozen, there are only a few survivors and these live in a giant train that travels the world endlessly. But the central axis of the film and also of the series in certain aspects, is the struggle of social differences, that is, the rich against the poor, since this train is divided into different scales where, where the social level is from "best to worst" being in the first cars the upper class and in the last car or the tail of the train, the lower class, passing those in the tail, the worst experiences of their lives. Moreover, when any of the people in the queue do something wrong or commit a crime they are punished by cutting off the arm, but in the most cruel way possible, because they expose the arm to the deadly cold outside, so that the arm is completely frozen and then it is destroyed with a mace, an act which is quite radical to come from the order of "high society".

The film has good actors in its cast, and as the main actor and protagonist is Chris Evans, known for having played Captain America, among other actors and they really do a good job, besides the fact that visually the film presents all that depressing and hopeless atmosphere.

On the other hand, the series, although some characters are well, especially the character played by Jennifer Connelly who does an excellent job, is quite the opposite with the main actor (Daveed Diggs), in many cases, in fact in most of the performances he does a lousy job and not at all credible, over-acting and there were even several moments that made me feel ashamed of his performance and despite being the main character, I did not feel any empathy for him because of his bad acting work.

Also the blood cgi is horrible, it didn't look real at all, although there are other moments where the cgi looks a little better, but as far as blood is concerned it's even comical how bad it looks.

The story, unlike the film, begins with a murder, and the main character must solve it because before the apocalypse he was a detective and from that moment begins the story of this series, which is quite separate from its filmic counterpart, although the central axis between the series and the film still remains that is the social struggle. But this series disappointed me so much that I did not want to see the last two chapters of the first season and I saw a summary on Youtube and although the last chapter, as I saw in the summary, was an unexpected end and gives strength for a better argument for the second season, the truth is that I do not want to continue watching this series. I don't recommend it at all, watch the film better, it's much better.

Man, if you watch almost the full season and stop two episodes before the end, then it has got to be quite bad. I almost have to finish all the movies and TV series I start, so if I end something before the end, then it is brutal. I guess I would do like you, watch a summary on YouTube instead! Thanks for the pins-up!

Ps: I haven't watched the series, but I watched the movie, and I would call it a 5/10 score... somehow, didn't really catch my attention!

It's a really bad show, the main character acts like a pest. It was so bad this show, I haven't seen any other seriesor movie! I'm mentally exhausted haha

i started watching it and quickly found myself paying more attention to my phone than the actual show, this is never a good sign. it has reasonable production value but I kind of found it boring. I gave up a lot earlier than you did as i think i made it about 2 and a half episodes in.

I was also bored with the first two chapters and was about to leave her, but I kept looking at her to give her another chance and well, a total disappointment

Good to know, thanks for saving me the time !
