I’ve never been a fan of Apple+ movies/productions. Something about their style just feels off to me, and I can’t describe it. ‘Wolfs’ slightly gives me those vibes, but not for long as the on-screen chemistry between George Clooney as 'Margaret's Man' and Brad Pitt as 'Pam’s Man' is hard to miss, even though it doesn't hit its mark every time. It’s rare that a movie can have the star power that this one does, and neither main character has an actual name that we, the viewers, learn in the entire 108 minutes of run time.
The movie dives right into the plot as Margaret, a well-known Manhattan District Attorney (played by Amy Ryan), is seen frantically hovering over what appears to be a dead body. After freaking out for a few moments, Margaret manages to get her purse from under the bleeding body and dial a number with no name saved in her phone. After having no luck and hanging up, her phone rings, and the voice on the other end matches Clooney’s. After being asked how she got the number, Margaret goes on to talk about how someone told her this person could clean up any mess in situations when the police weren't an option.
My Spidey sense immediately went off on that last detail. The call she made was to Clooney, a name-less fixer of fuckery. The movie title rang in my mind as it all came together faster than Winston Wolf drove in Pulp Fiction. As you may come to learn from my reviews, one of 'my things' is to pick up references whenever they appear. My reviews will likely be different than most you'll read; well, at least that's the intention.
At any rate, 'Margaret’s man' shows up at the hotel and starts to do his thing. The problem is, moments into 'doing his thing,' Margaret hears a knock at the door. Who is it, you might ask? After some awkward looks, it’s revealed that the room has cameras installed, and the hotel’s manager, Pam, has her own man (played by Brad Pitt). And the plot thickens…
What happens after that is soaked in that action-comedy feel that the Oceans series had with these two, but I’d say it wasn’t nearly as good. As it turns out, one of the bigger stories within this movie was the fact it was originally a Sony Pictures film that was slated for a big-screen debut but was purchased by Apple+ (price undisclosed) and ended up on their streaming network. But that’s not to say this movie isn’t worth the watch because, even though it misses at times, it is entertaining…although I wouldn’t pay anything and most certainly wouldn’t subscribe to Apple+ in the process.
I give it 3.5 stars (out of a possible 5).

I thought it was decent but the chemistry between Clooney and Pitt wasn't really there. I think both of them are too big of stars to really work well together. I watched it all the way through without looking at my phone so I guess that is saying something. :)

Thanks for sharing. The two main characters are my idols, the trailer alone is perfect. But unfortunately the film has not yet entered my country. Thanks for sharing. Looks like I'll have to subscribe to net Netflix from now on
