A Tale Dark and Grimm - Netflix

Ten episodes, at least ten times "Once upon a time" told by a raven (there are three of them and the girl is my favourite)

The dark and grimm story isn't that grimm, the kingdom's name therefore is.
It's all about Hansel and Gretel (Hans en Grietje) the weirdest twin I ever saw (reminds me of that twin in England years ago).

They say (that raven storyteller does) it's the real story about Hansel and Greyel. It all starts when their parents cut their children's heads off and... sew it back.
A good reason for the twins to leave and find a news home.

If you like tales you will recognize parts of different tales in this series. The devil is present (East European tales seem always to beat the devil) , all kind of things happen but there are a lot of open ends.

A child might not notice it but I wonder if little children understand the "jokes" or remarks made. I doubt it.

A good character, not a witch. She just eats children.

This Netflix series is based on a book I never heard of. No idea if it's the same or totally different.
It's worth watching but not as great as Shrek (all film are great).

Book: A Tale Dark & Grimm
Author: Adam Gidwitz

P.s. What they say about tales is true. The original tales are scary warnings against bad people, the bad world outside.

For a moment I thought he was going to eat it

Who? Mrs Baker or Hansel?

Mrs Baker is a happy person. Didn't watch this one yet. It's on my list.

If you have some spare time do. It's not the best story but there's a bit humour in it. Might depend on the language.

I might when I have. Thanks.
