We do not know why we are here. We do not know who build the silo. The world outside our sanctionary is dead.... we don't know blah blah blah when we go outside but that day isn't today.
What's this series about?
A civilization (10k people) lives in a silo underground. Their history is unknown and life isn't much different from what many face today. Different levels, different rights. Where you are born in where you most likely will die unless you are punished and sent to the "mines" or sent out to wipe the window. Who to trust? It's hard since everyone deals with the same problem: an unknown past, an unknown future, being controlled, spied on and afraid to say what's on their mind. Opinions are not appreciated and where you go, follows your shadow.
Shadow? Indeed, everyone has a shadow and this is the person who should learn from you (by following you) how to do your job if you are no longer around (gone, dead, sent out...). This shadow is rarely a free choice which doesn't make life easier and is good for more anger, envy, intrigues, madness, and murders.
Just like we know from Brave New World and some other films (where you own nothing and are happy and equality is preached) the same system is followed by the Silo. You own nothing and you are born in a certain level which stands for a certain job, Once dead all the stuff should be given back (by the family) and will be reused, repaired or is thrown away.
We follow Juliette Nichols (during the first episodes most we learn to know die or are sent outside). She's the best engineer the Silo has. When Sheriff Holston decides to go out to follow his wife and find out if she is right he wants Juliette (who lives 144 levels lower) to replace him and search for the answers both like to know.
Juliette is a fighter she doesn't easily give up and seems to have a lot in common with her mom. As Judicial arrests her and claims she said she wants to go out the entire Silo watches how she walks over the hill without cleaning the window. It is here Juliette sees the landscape and realizes they are, were not the only ones living underground.
The silo is worth watching even if you are no big fan of SF. There's plenty of drama and life isn't much different from most people's lives. Some parts look like allees not different from what we see in the old city centres. Although there's no daylight it does look in a way natural at times even cosy.
If you are used to be brainwashed by saying the same phrases this series is perfect for you. Don't worry, religion might no longer exist but the Silo has their own bible and live by its rules. If you like to bing watch you can with season 1, season 2 has thusfar only 5 episodes. I would say watch it and you will be updated about what the future might look like (or not since Armageddon always seem to happen/start in the USA).
The Silo is based on tha trilogy (yes, people books) written by Hugh Howey
Created by: Graham Yost
Broadcasted by: Apple tv
Juliette: Rebecca Ferguson (known for doing her stunts)
If you don't have Apple TV you can still watch this series. There are online streaming services like hd today where you can watch for free (the link might change which isn't uncommon for free streaming services).
Season 2: Juliette finds her way, an empty Silo #17 is her new home.

It seems to be a very interesting Sci-Fi film to watch because it seems that the community or the place in that world that they are living into is a product of a past "earth-ending" event and that they are the ones that survived if not the people before them and that they are just offspring of those survivors that continued to live on but following a different government structure if you can call it a government which is far worse to be around living into because of its different system for some important reason or another.
I might consider to watch that film the soonest time. I am not in the Apple ecosystem and the only movies I would watch are those that I download via torrent. I also went bored watching movies because there is no good way at the moment to watch such because I am not considering buying a Television Miss @wakeupkitty.
My father wants the Smart TV but its costs a lot considering that I want to buy stuffs that I need first like a better smartphone and a new laptop because my laptop has lines above the screen and it affects my viewing needs already which is why it caused me to not watch movies even with this seven-year old laptop.
I might purchase these things as soon as crypto prices would appreciate a little because I know that my father needs a new TV as well even though we are not subscribed to a cable TV. As for a Smart TV, I also do not know how it works except it can be hooked/connected to an internet source of Wi-Fi and let the user watch YouTube videos.
I also have not used Netflix ever or any streaming services because I seem to be contented enough from free videos of YouTube and what I do here in Steemit but I guess that I am also missing out on what streaming services are showing. Anyway, thanks for the recommendation, I appreciate it Miss @wakeupkitty 😀👍
