It's a kind of a sad story, Kleo's life I mean.
Not because she was born in the DDR but because of what her grandfather made out of her.
Kleo is the hitman and after she took care of the task given to her she's arrested and put in jail. Although, this girl dedicated her life to the country, socialism she suddenly is accused of being a traitor.
I prison she is kicked into a miscarriage and when the wall falls and she's set free all she wants to know is who sent her to prison.
While watching this series you get to know this young woman and the people around her and her past.
Is Kleo a cruel person, an animal who kills everyone in her way?
If you manage to watch on you will notice she does feel empathy and can stick to the rules set by Sven (no killing) a former policeman who wants to be her partner.
Some parts may be hilarious and others may make feel you sad, it can be you learn something knew about life in the DDR back then although, it can be partly made up.
Kleo's search for the one in charge end in a search for a read suitcase that more than one person seem to hunt for.
I felt uncomfortable watching the first part and hoped the opposite of what I saw and felt would come true. I can tell you that happened and if it comes to it I believe exactly the same is happening now if it comes to the provoked war in the Ukraine.
We were bankrupt and we needed the money of the enemy and they needed an enemy too, a bad example.

Aaah you might say I didn't use the prompt so let me share something more with you.
Kleo... after each fight or after she killed someone, could always walk away. Not once I saw the police knocking at her door. No DNA taken, no asking around in the neighbourhood. She never washed her face, hands or clothes or tried to clean up the place. It surprised me each time Kleo didn't since usually in a film the killer cleaned it thouroughly to not be found.
Kleo is worth watching.
