SEC-S19W6 | Digital Applications in Learning

This is the last week of this course and I am coming up with my presentation this week. In the last week, we learned a lot of things that we didn't know and we are now starting to apply them. So this is last week and my entry for this week is listed below. I hope you guys like it.

Many technologies will advance education in the future and make it more accessible, personalized, and dynamic. Some of the important things that will affect education are as follows.

Increased Accessibility

Technology removes barriers to education. So that students from all over the world can get the same quality education in the same way. Thus online courses virtual classrooms and mobile apps provide education to those who cannot access their schools due to personal issues or some other barriers. This technology is very beneficial for them as it gives them access to education at home.

Personalized Learning

With advances in artificial intelligence and data analytics, education can be tailored to the needs of individual students by tailoring the application or technologies to the student's understanding. So that they can adjust the curriculum according to their needs and get an education. So that they understand their concepts more effectively and this method prevents them from going backward and they make more progress.

Collaboration And Communication

Technology will enhance collaboration between teachers and students even if they are sitting at a great distance. Because through this they can interact with each other. Video conferencing tools, collaborative platforms, and social media are some of the things that encourage students to work together in groups. This gives us the advantage that we can get instant feedback both from our teacher and from our students. Students work on one project in the shape of a group.

Lifelong Learning

As more technologies are introduced, it becomes easier for the teacher to explain to his students. Because he will launch his online courses or websites or e-learning platforms at once. With its help, the student can study and acquire his skills at any time. The advantage of this is that when we share any data online by creating an e-learning platform, we can access it at any time. And we can renew this skill anytime.

Hybrid Learning Models

A hybrid approach will facilitate online learning while maintaining the advantages of in-person experiences and classroom-based activities. The future of education will likely involve a combination of traditional face-to-face learning and digital tools.

Of course, we can use this platform as a learning application. Many educational learning procedures are going on that are implemented through the community and we benefit from them. The following is an explanation of why we like them or why we use this platform for education.

Content Creation And Sharing

Steemit allows its users to create and share a wide range of content on the site. It allows you to share any topic here. Learners who are students and knowledge sharers who are teachers both use these tools and share their knowledge here. Steemit is a competitive tool for spreading knowledge.

Community Engagement

Steemit shares with us a feature through which we can communicate with each other in the community over a specific skill. And so we can share our knowledge in it according to this skill. For example, many communities on Steemit are built on the same point, like Steem for Animals, a community made only for animals, where we can share our knowledge about animals. In this way, we can stay in a group and ask questions with each other, discuss and share our content.

Incentive Learning

A unique aspect of Steemit is that it carries on its reward system. Here we earn cryptocurrency for creating our content and engaging with others. The name of this cryptocurrency is Steem. We can earn these rewards by interacting with other people and participating in the community. We strive to produce high-quality educational content with the help of learning communities when it rewards us.

Decentralized Learning

It provides some degree of independence from the traditional educational structure. It allows learners to explore a wide range of topics and perspectives. Here we are not involved in a formal education system but it is better for those who want to add something to themselves. This platform is very good for those who want to develop any skill in themselves.

As we know steemit is an online platform and all people from all over the world can access it. And it helps us learn about other cultures from other backgrounds. Because when we interact with other countries, we increase our knowledge of what people in other countries do instead of the way we are doing. In this way, we can gain a broad knowledge of the whole world.

Digital applications can offer us numerous benefits but they are unlikely to completely replace face-to-face learning. Here's why

Human Interaction

Face-to-face learning is interacting directly with a person. When we interact with each other, it increases our confidence which we cannot get in online digital applications. Because there we can do different types of migration. When we physically interact with each other, we can understand each other's feelings. In-person classes allow instant feedback, non-verbal communication, and personal connections between students and teachers. Which is very difficult to replicate in a digital environment.

Hands-On Experience

There are some subjects for which we need to be physical like art science lab music these are things that we can understand and learn better only by interacting with these instruments. These things digital applications cannot provide us completely. These are things where students can learn by directly engaging with materials and tools.

Social Development

The traditional classroom provides us with an environment through which we can interact socially with each other. We can work and collaborate. With these experiences, we can better understand social skills with the help of a group. But these are the things that the digital platform provides us at a very low level.

Learning Environment

A classroom environment is much better for students as they can focus directly on one thing and stay disciplined. And so it can self-motivate itself to a high level because here we can see our time. Time management is very important so in physical class, we look at our time management very well.

Equity And Access

Not all students can learn equally through digital devices. Some have very few resources, and some do not have good internet, due to which the same knowledge does not reach all of them. But if we are sitting face-to-face in a physical class, it guarantees that everyone is getting the same education and understanding in the same way.
