Let’s try to speak English with our students in our English classes

Nb : I do apologize in advance inasmuch as this is only my point of view or paradigm or my perspective based on my experiences when I am teaching my lovely pupils & students in Sumatra Island & Java Island. I didn't mean to judge anyone. Happy reading my dearest teachers & students & Steemian.

I am over the moon to share everything moreover concern lores of education for our country based on my experiences when I was teaching my beloved pupils or students in my English private classes, regular classes in some of courses & school for many years in Sumatra Island & Java Island.

At this moment, perhaps I will share and focus on my job mainly for English subject as an English teacher.

Honestly take a pity when I knew in some of cities plus listen a lot of stories from my students & pupils when they said in their school mostly their English teacher seldom to speak English when they teach English even if only one or some words.

I didn’t mean to judge them or the school, however some of my students said that their teachers seldom come to their classes. Even though they teach the students, they seldom to discuss about something on their book or just gave what they knew (English). The way I saw it when I was checking my student’s notebook & listening their stories, for some of level such as 6th grade elementary school, junior high school & senior high school, it’s extremely basic & the topic is so far from the real topic on their book.

As an English teacher, minimal when they come to the class, even if only for greeting or asked about their feeling or about their days, better if we try to speak English with them. Yeah, due to the fact that is so freak when you ask or push your students to speak English and understand about what did you say or what the meaning of some vocabs on their book yet you still speak Bahasa to them. All the praise only for Yaa 'Aliim if you can speak English well & a lot when you are teaching or explaining something in English. InsyaaAllah you can find your student's eyes & face will be so excited to listen your speaking plus with your little creativity. Trust me, mates. InsyaaAllah it works. Usually when I meet English teachers around me, I meant my friends, I tried to speak English also to give the real actions to be in a picture for my lovely pupils & students.

It looks like you teach about Math, for example concern addition, subtraction, multiplication or division yet you couldn’t count even if how much money did you spend for your meals & drinks in the cafe or resto for yourself or when you hang out with your mates. The way I see English, too. At least you should try your best to speak English to your students & make it habits inasmuch as you teach about English, not Bahasa, my beloved friends.

Sure, you should translate it to make your pupils or students understand about what did you say last time. I consider this case also is depends on your class. If you teach excellent classes or brilliant pupil & you know about their capabilities & skills, you do not need to translate too much.

However if you face and already knew the level or capabilities of your students or classes are not really expert about it, I make sure you should translate it well. In this matter, as a teacher, you need to be creative, inovative, made a lot of ideas, ice breaking to build atmosphere of the class. This is one of the best tricks & tips also to make your students fall in love with English. Don’t forget to try to speak English in any situation to build the good ambience in your English classes. If you have a good pronunciations with a lot of vocabularies, it will give the highest point to you to catch your student’s heart & passion.

I consider there is no reason if you want to be a creative and a lot of ideas or ice breaking or fun game (yet don't too much), if you can not make by yourself, there is no any reason owing to the fact that you can find it easier on social media, I meant like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and so forth in this era. The main point is please don’t be lazy-bones & update plus upgrade yourself (read : your brain)

However let me tell you also actually there are a lot of teachers also teach with their uniqueness, creativities, inovate, a bunch of ideas plus fun game and ice breaking. I met them also in my life.

No doubt, I adore them, I meant how the way they try their best to give all of their lores, skills, capabilities & time to their lovely students. Hats off to all of my beloved teachers in the universe.

Well, mainly for all of English teacher in the world, let’s try to speak English with our students. Let's be creative & fun in our English classes. Stay healthy, happy & keep it up a good works.
