My Resumption Plans for the New Academic Year

Greetings amiable members of Teachers and Students community. My name is Ennie and it's my first post on this community. It's a pleasure to be here and I hope you enjoy my participation as much as I enjoy your acceptance.

This is my entry on the contest "Resumption Plans" by @nsijoro. He wants me to talk about my holiday and resumption. I'm doing just that.

I am a Nigerian student who schools in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. I am in SS2 and am going to my second term. Just FYI.

My short break was a mix of contradicting adjectives. My short break was eventful, boring, memorable, tormenting and ..... unusual.

3rd December, 2024 was the closing day of the first term of our 2024/2025 academic session. A month before that, my mother's 4 year old Tecno Camon 15 phone got spoilt beyond repairs. I always used that phone to write on Steemit so its absence affected me terribly. It's the reason I was absent on Steemit for close to two months. When the academic session was ongoing, I didn't write often because of examinations that owned all my time so I had hopes that during the holiday, I would write day and night with my mother's phone since I wouldn't be overly busy with schoolwork. When all my hopes were dashed, holidays became boring.

I'd wake up, do my chores and read from morning till night. All work and no play made Ennie a dull girl you know.

Then I had a memorable day on the 26th day of December, 2025. It was the first time I visited the famous Uyo Christmas Park. I had so much fun that day. That day is the reason I can't wholly term this holiday as the worst of my life.

The days of this holiday were so boring. Boredom torments me. The holiday was unusual because I've never had one so bland.

Are you resuming today, or how and when are you resuming?

No, I'm not resuming today. Kings' Seed Academy, Uyo, the school I attend resumed on 6th January. I will however begin attendance on 13th January, 2025 for the term.

On that Monday of resumption, I'll be in the school premises by 6:30am, as punctual as usual with my ironed uniform and model appearance.

What's your plan for the new academic session/resumption from break?

My plan for the new term is to remain focused and in the end, come home with the first place and an impressive average. I will give Chemistry and Physics supplemental reading time so I become a guru.
