Hello Steemians, welcome to my post. I am excited to participate in this challenge which I have talked about "Micro Teaching"

Assuming you are given a class to carry out Micro Teaching and you have 20 minutes to do this. Using the sample of the lesson plan above prepare a lesson plan. (Take note of the presentation and conclusion columns and present the needed information in them at least 150 words)

If am been given a class to carry out micro-teaching for just 20 minutes the class will be conducted as shared in the sample of the lesson plan below.

SubjectSocial Studies
Topic:Living and Non-Living Things
Time:20 Minutes
Objective:Student will be able to differentiate between living and non-living things and understand the characteristics that define each of them.
Instructional Materials:Pictures or real examples of various living and Non-Living things (animals, water, rocks, plants, etc), chalkboard
Previous knowledge:I will ask the students to talk briefly on our last topic about what they have learned
Introduction:Greetings students, today, we will learn about living and Non-Living things I will then tell them about them by listing them on the board and asking students to look around them.
Presentation:Definition and Characteristics: Living Things are those that grow, move, reproduce, and need food and water. They are made up of cells. (eg; humans, plants, animals). Non-living things are those that do not grow, move on their own, reproduce, or need food and water. They do not have cells. (eg; water, chairs, rocks). Characteristics of living things; movement, growth, response to stimuli, reproduction
Summary/Conclusion:I will recap the main points: the distinguishing between living and non-living things and their characteristics I will then encourage the students to observe their surroundings at home and classify objects that are living and non-living things.

Still on assumption, while teaching your students what are the steps you took to ensure they are focused on hearing you, and if for any reason there was a distraction how were you able to tackle the issue?

The steps that I will take to ensure my students are focused on hearing me is being self discipline which I make sure they are calm and ready to learn. To that below are the steps I will take.

  • I will enter the class with a long cane to scare them from making noise.

  • I will warn them of noise making telling them that if anyone is found making noise he or she will be punished.

  • I will keep them busy by using interesting examples that will make them laugh.

  • I will ask be asking questions randomly to those who are not focused.

If for any reason there was a distraction in my class I will tackle the issue in the following ways;

  • I will call the student outside and confront him/her to find out what the issue is.

  • I will politely settle the issue.

  • I will begin to throw questions to the students.

  • I will heat a cane on a desk to scare them from causing distraction.

Recall that you have 20 minutes assigned to you to deliver your lecture or to teach the students, how were you able to manage the time? Share with us how you managed the allocated time.

Me encantó leerte. Saludos.

Thank you for this great support.

Immediately I read about the topic of the class, I traveled back in time to the memories of primary school back then and how "Living Things and Non Living Things" were one of our favourite topics. This topic will surely be interesting to all kinds of students not minding the grade or class level. Understanding nature and more, is something a child who loves learning will never miss.

I will enter the class with a long cane to scare them from making noise.

😁😁😁
This statement really made me laugh 😂. When our class teacher then wants to come to class everyday, she comes with a brand cane in order to make the class to be peaceful. And for real, this tactis of hers really worked on us then. Nowadays, I don't think bringing a cane to the class will actually scare the kids anymore because they have been acquainted with it. Although there are other means to make the class be in order and have a smooth class time.

You have divided the class into four parts, which is interesting. As you stated, 5 minutes each for Introduction, Presentation, Practicals and Conclusions. That's a nice evaluation of the time and good management as well.

Thanks for sharing

Students are afraid of cane which I believe it will make them to stop making noise in my class.

Thank you for your amazing support.

Your lesson plan is very interesting. In teaching, being an assertive teacher is very supportive of the teaching and learning process. You use very interesting methods in dealing with classroom disruptions. Hopefully your relationship with your students will become closer. In time management I see you are very good. I hope you succeed in this week's challenge.

Thank you so much ma.

My pleasure

Greetings my friend @jasminemary,

It's awesome! Your idea of entering the class with a long cane to scare students from making noise is quite something! 😂 Though unconventional, it's interesting how you creatively manage classroom discipline. Keep the laughs and learning going!

Thank you sir. Teaching is something I like doing.
