Good day steemians!

New Year Celebration is not just for those people who succeeded but as well to those people who tried their very yet still failed. It is a time for sharing, caring and catching up.

Every December 31, it is always a busy day for everyone. Busy preparing food to eat, what to wear and decorations. But take note, all of these stuff are not necessary. We can still celebrate New Year even without those, and it is already a bonus if we had it on our table.

So, right now I will be sharing to you what were our preparations in our New Year's Eve.


My sister and her hubby volunteered to do the cooking. They prepared the famous buttered mixed seafoods, whole shrimp lumpia, calamares.

After few hours, they already felt tired. So, I just let them go upstairs and rest and I am the one who continue the cooking. And I am the one who prepare the sweet and sour fish. As what you notice, every new year we dont prepare meat, only seafoods. I dont know whats the explanation of my mom all I know is that we dont usually prepare meat every New Year. My other sister is the one who made the dessert. She is so expert on that.

While my brother is the one who do the design. And pur youngest was the one who wash the dishes and our runner. Thats the perks of having so many siblings. My parents were still on their workplace, they sell some seafoods. And at 2pm they went home after 2 days of not going home. We didnt let them help us prepare instead we let them rest and sleep upstairs.

After everything, I let the whole fam prepare theirselves and let them gather at 11pm. We first had our New Year fellowship while waiting for 12midnight. We sing praises to God. Then, I let mama lead the prayer.

Then we had our family picture as the year 2024 will end.

We do the countdown. And at exactly 12 midnight, we jump and say THANK YOU Lord and greet each other. And we then lighted our firecrackers. Then we eat together...
