According to the church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, before some one can become a priest, he must pass through an ordination or must be ordined by the Bishop of that Diocese. It requires the presence of the bishop and all the other priest.

I will love to share with you thd processes taken to become a priest in my church, Diocese Of Okrika Rivers State. Today 1^st August, 2021.

THE PROCESS

3days before the day of the ordination, the priests to be ordined are to come and stay in the church premises fasting and praying to God. With some teachings from the bishop. They go through some learning process from the day one to the 3^rd day, after they might have known and understood the rules and regulations governing the diocese the bishop now find them fit and ready to be ordined.

On the 4^th day which is the day of the ordination, all the armsor groups in the church dresses in their uniform and appear in the church. There the diocecian Majestrait and other laywers will be presence to sign an agreement of oaths with the newly ordined priests. Below are gallary of an ordination service held in my Diocese today.

OATH TAKING

This are the council of knights also present in their uniforms in the church to show their support to the newly ordined priests. Also other groups such as the women guild, girls guild, boys bridgad and choir. After the oath taking and the laying of hands by the bishop, the newly ordined priest can noe bear the tittle Reverend which shows they have under go ordination or have been ordined by the bishop.
