What is children's day all about,and why is it celebrated universally,you can as well write briefly about the inventor of this amazing day.

Children are precious gift from God. They are also seen as sacred. They can also serve as a bond that unites a male and a female. Children brings peace and aura to a marriage. Children's day is set aside as a day to tell children all over the world how important and unique they are, not only to their parents but to the world at large. Children's day was first invented by Reverend Dr. Charles Leonard on the second sunday of June in 1857. He was a pastor of the universalist church of the Redeemer in Chelsea, Massachusetts. He first named it as Rose Sunday, later changed it to Flower Sunday and finally children's day.

This children's day was finally adopted internationally and was proclaimed in 1925 during a world conference on child Welfare in Geneva. Children's day is celebrated annually to honour children and different countries have set aside different days to honour children.
In My country Nigeria, children's day is celebrated annually on May 27th. It is celebrated to increase awareness on the rights and Education of Children and this years children days theme is tagged Unite to reverse the impact of Covid-19 pandemic on children .
This year theme is actually a nice one as it will help draw the attention of both government and private sectors to help curb the post effect of Covid-19 such as malnutrition,poverty,child abuse as children are more prone to the after effect of covid-19.

Most of us have children that are related to us in one way or the other. Can you tell us what you have learned from children who are close to you? At least 3 things learned from a child.

The pictures above are pictures of my Niece and Nephews. From the top,is Jesse, followed by Laurel, followed by Georgie. These children are an amazing gift. I have learned to be forgiving from them. No matter how much you hurt or flog them, they will easily forget and forgive,in less than few minutes after flogging them, you will become their friends again.
Being around children helps to ease stress they make you laugh by funny gist which may never be true. Just recently, Laurel told me that coconut trees grow by the river side because they are the only trees capable of changing a salt water to a fresh water. Hilarious! ...LoL.
These children has taught me to be free and open during discussions. Children never hide how they feel. They gist you about every single thing that happens at home,school and everywhere they have being to,and that is a very good one.
Children are always ready to apologize when you tell them they are wrong. They tell you how sorry they are,as many times as you want them to say it. Children are indeed amazing and should be celebrated everyday, and any time.
Children are a great example of humility, no wonder the good books urges us to humble ourselves like children if we want to receive the blessings of our heavenly father.

For this special day,what do you think would be the best gift given to a kid that will make him/her feel loved. Tell us.

The most important gift should be great care. If you look around the street in our neighbourhood,you will find out that most children are neglected. We live in a society where child abuse have become order of the day. Children are raped,neglected and abused by their guardian. Every child deserve real and genuine love. Children should be sent to school as this will help build a better society where violence can be reduced.

Materially, children love to have fun, taking a child to a pleasure park, buying them chocolates and ice-cream will be greatly appreciated by children.

My little nephew Jesse has always pleaded i get him a Spiderman toy, while my little neice loves a Hair ruffle and a big Fancy Nancy Toy. LOL.
Any prize from this contest,will be used for the children in my life. They give me Joy.
