Earlier on, when i was preparing for shopping, i had in mind of cooking lumpy melon soup with ukazi, but on my way, i saw a girl hawking one particular vegetable ( uha) that usually appears during dry season.
I started wondering how it happened. Could it ba as a result of climate change or what? Rainy seaon just started, how did this vegatable appear by this time. So i decided to use it for my soup. I bought some from the girl and headed for the grocery store.
When entered the grocery store , i bought few necessary ingredients like stockfish, smoked fish, periwinkles, snails, i have the rest at home.
I rushed home thereafter because i left my tender son who was sleeping with my househelp, i was thinking that he should be awake. When got home, he was still sleeping.
I started preparing the soup around 4pm, i put my fishes on fire, started washing the snails and periwinkes. I garnished them and set them on fire too. When my fishes are done, i added my grinded melon, palm oil, salt, maggi, crayfish, covered the pot and allow to boil for minutes.
When all the ingredients were blended together, i added the snail/ periwinkle, the the uha(vegetable) after few minutes os boiling, i put the pot down. The soup is ready to serve with eba. Its is still available for u if u wish to eat
