My lovely husband and I
Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest is my beloved among the young men. I delight to sit in his shade, and his fruit is sweet to my taste.
Songs of Solomon 2:3
I have known my husband since the first day I started my University education in 2007. From the onset, he spoke in confidence to me that I would be his wife. You can imagine someone who was still being fed, telling me who came to study hard about marriage. I did not even take him serious even though we remained friends.

Before our wedding
In 2017, ten years later, we became husband and wife and I must say he is the best thing that has happened to me.
The qualities I so much admire in him are plenty but for the purpose of this contest, I will limit it to four. They are:
Hardworking: My husband is as hardworking as the term is used. Not only is he physically hardworking, he does smart work too. There is nothing he can not fix even though he is an animal scientist. He does the plumbing job, electrical job, mechanical job plus his job. At work, his seniors were posted out to make him the unit head.
Infact his boss categorically told him, if you do not want to head this unit, then resign. That is how much the young man knows his onions.Homely/family man: My husband is so good with the home front that my children prefer him to bath and brush their teeth than me. Infact, when I put to bed, the midwives were just telling me how lucky I was to have such a caring husband. My husband did all the baby chores from taking them to have their bath to their vaccinations. The special yam pepper soup he prepared himself. Up till date, he helps in washing the clothes including mine, even cooks the food when I am tired or sick.
Ardent Believer in Christ. Every one who knows my husband knows his strong faith and belief in God. He prays for his family constantly and even for those who hurt him. Sometimes I wonder the kind of heart he has. He approaches every problem with prayer. One thing that really gets to me is when he says 'instead of him to enjoy on Earth a thousand years in sin, he better dies and enter into God's rest.' I pray he continues his faith.
Compassionate: My husband has a heart made of flesh and not of stone. He understands people's weeknesses and failings. He does not judge people harshly instead like I said before, when you wrong him, he prays for you. He feels for people. I remember an incidence when a former neighbour did not have fan in their house. We had two standing fans, one I had before marrying him, the other a rechargeable. Before I could say Jack, he had given them my standing fan. Numerous occasions he has done stuff like this...from foodstuffs to money. He indeed is empathetic.
After all these being said, he has his shortcomings too and mine I believe is more but we are growing and learning everyday.
I love my husband very much and wish him a happy Valentine's day in advance.
