Vitamins are said to be a group of substance that are needed in the human body for normal cell function, growth and all round development in order for our body to work properly. Firstly let's take a good at ,
Vitamin A
Vitamin A is an essential vitamin that the body needs for growth.
This vitamin is of vital because it function
- Helps in vision
- It build immune function
- It's helpful in reproduction process
- The heart, lungs and kidney with several part and organs of the body functions correctly.
Deficiency of vitamin A
It leads to eye problem, such as night blindness

- Fish
- Dairy produce
- Oily fruits
- Vegetables (onions and lots more)

Vitamin K
Vitamin K is refered to as a group of fat-soluble that play a role in the blood clotting, bone metabolism and regulating blood vessels, and healing of wounds.
It's function are;
- It helps keep blood pressure lower by preventing mineralization where mineral build up in the arteries
- Vitamin k reduce the high risk of stoke.
Natural Sources of vitamin K
- Green Vegetables
- Kale
- Collard greens
- Spinach
- Lettuce
- Pine nuts
- Soy beans
- Pumpkin

Deficiency of vitamin K
It can increase clotting time there by leading to hemorrhage and excess bleeding.
Vitamin D
From time imemoral, it has been said that sunlight is the measure source of vitamin D, specially when little children are born with yellow fever and some related illness, they'll be exposed to the heat of the morning sun to get vitamin D, with some supplements and food too.
Functions of vitamin D
- It promote intestinal calcium absorption and helps maintain adequate blood levels and phosphorus which aids healthy bone
- Vitamin D maintain healthy teeth and regulate inflammation
Deficiency of vitamin D
- It causes rickets in Children, leading to a bowlegged appearance, in adults it shows as osteomalacia.

Vitamin C is a vital nutrient for health. It helps form and maintain bones and skins and also blood vessels, it's an antioxidants.

- It boosts the immune system
- It enhances wound healing
- It helps the body produce collagen, l-carnitine and some neurotransmitter.
