This model hospital was commission by the former governor Alhaji Umaru Tanko Al- makura on Sunday 26th may 2000, his intension was to make it a specialist hospital but this present governor his excellent Egr Abdullah A Sule charge it to be a model general hospital, it's was known as general hospital Akwanga but now is presently known as model hospital the head of the hospital is Doctor Goji a mada by trip from Nassarawa state, a very popular Doctor in the state, the hospital is located at lafia road Akwanga LGA have a good number of staff, good facilities and a good structures. The environment of the hospital is very neat. the also have various departments , which are Medical Doctor,
Nurse, Surgeon, Health Recorder, Dietician Optometrist, Administration Staff, Dentist Health Attendant
Lab Scientist and Cleaner

patients : patients always goes for check up and also recieve treatment.

Staffs :staffs goes here to render their services Base on their area of specialization.

Model market Akwanga

Model market
This market was build and commission by the former governor of Nassarawa state Alhaji Umaru Tanko Al makura,
it's located at Akwanga West, adjacent U.B.A bank. I patronize the market every Tuesday because it is a day slated for buying and selling of goods at a more affordable rate. It's a day when farmers bring out their farm produce for sale. I usually go to the market with an estimated market price list. Here are three (3) amongst the goods I usually purchase at the market:

Rice : There are different varieties of rice and their prices based on neatness, brightness, color, taste and quality with prices #1000, #750, 650, 600, and 500 respectively.

Tomatoes: It's a bit expensive at the modern market. The small plate cost #250 and a small pent rubber cost #1,200. I usually buy one of the small rubber pent.

Okrika clothes - the clothes are more cheaper every Tuesdays both that of children and adult wears. Each clothes cost #1000 only and they are of good grades. Well there are one of higher price based on what you can afford.
This market is always so busy during the market day, so if you are not so careful your things will get missing
