Hello my friends in Steemit how are you all doing, I hope things are working out as planned. Enjoy yourselves no matter what, because life is the gift of from God.

Welcome to my blog as I share with you my day's activities. I want you to patiently read to the end because it is very juicy.

MORNING

As I woke up from sleep, I prayed first personally thanking God for the gift of being alive and to guide me in all my endeavours for the day. Then I picked up my phone to check my messages. After a while at about 6.10am I woke up my children so they can prepare themselves for school in other not to get there late. At about 7.20am we all gathered together and say our morning worship prayers before they left for school and I continued my other activities.

Firstly as I stepped outside, I had to attend to my animals because they were already waiting for me to release them to go out and find their food. From there I entered my Garden. I did a small vegetable garden in my compound so it has really been taking my time especially in the mornings. I had to water them daily because there is no rain yet.

I have to guide these farm from my goats and chickens because any little mistake, they will enter there and start eating these vegetables. They have already been doing that so I have protected the farm and doing all I can to make sure they don't go in there.

I love planting a garden so I can have some fresh vegetables grown by me. It is always refreshing. If you have lived in the country side especially from a remote village, you will understand what I mean. The vegetables are really doing well growing up despite the hot weather as I keep watering them and putting manure to fertilize and add nutrients to the soil.

At about 10.45am I noticed I had to take my breakfast. So I settled for the Beans and Pap freshly cooked and it was so enjoying and delicious. Infact I was filled up fully loaded that I got tired and sleep started begging me to have a little nap which I did.

AFTERNOON

Later after finishing with the little sleep, I decided to go to the market so I can get some few food items for the house. These days cost of living is very high as inflation rate is really biting us hard here in Nigeria, although other parts of the world is also facing similar challenges. We are not ignorant of these happenings because the Bible has already prophesied about these our times as the last days.

At the market after buying some few items of Tomatoes, fresh and dried pepper, onions, red palm oil, fish, stock-fish, okro, groudnut oil, kpomo, agbono, maggi, garri etc. I wanted to buy rice as it is on my list of items, I noticed the balance remaining cannot buy a paint of rice, I started searching my bags looking for more money but could not find any. Infact I thought I had lost some money. At this time it dawned on me that, most of those items i already bought had added money on top of what I wrote down. My friend if you are going to the food market now, be prepared oooo, otherwise you may not get all you wanted to buy because prices has changed in the market, everyday it keeps going up.

These days fruits like cheery is now all over the market, so I decided to buy some few fruits. Cheery (Udara/Agbalumo) is very delicious and contains vitamins and minerals. But you have to be careful to know the ones that are sweet because some will slap you when you eat them. Don't go for the ones the market woman is shouting its very sweet "sugar sugar", it is a lie. Carefully find those that ripen by themselves.

When I got home it was already about 1.00pm, I dropped my bag and removed all that I bought, then I freshen up with a cool shower as the sun was very hot. A cold bathe was all that I needed.

EVENING

By this time now it is already evening time, we cooked our meal and when every other family members have arrived home, we all ate and already tired, I decided to go to sleep around 10.30pm after listening to world news especially with the war going on in Ukraine with the Russians. Those Russians are wicked especially their President.

Let me stop so far. I want to appreciate you for reading down to the end.

Hello @essygold,

Trust you are fine.I enjoyed reading your diary game post.Farming is a good way to generate food;I am glad you have both animals and vegetable farm, that makes you a mixed farmer. Surely, goats like to destroy plants if they are not properly put under check.

Udara remains my favourite fruit, whether is sweet or sour,I can always take it although the sweet ones are more enjoyable.

Sorry about this. Rice has unfortunately become the opportunity cost/forgone alternative of the rest of the other items.
Your advice here is very timely considering the hard times we are living in now when every thing seems to be unpredictable but always fluctuating and skyrocketing . In this part of our word, there are no fixed prices of food items in the market, no fixed amount of transportation fare, no fixed year of a student to graduate from school consequent upon incessant strike actions. Where are we headed to?.

I like your inclination to agriculture from rearing livestock to having a garden/farm for vegetables. This is commendable. You are such an industrious lady @essygold

You really had a beautiful and stressful day. The greenish garden shows how hard working you are. I have love gardens. I love planting and watching my things grow and mature.

Infact, food stuffs from my garden speedily satisfies me than the one I purchase from the market. My compound will have a big garden. Keep the good work and win more @essygold.

Wow, I loved your diary, especially the part where you mentioned you own a garden. I too have a garden.

Garden can be fun. It like watching a little child grow and keeping them away from danger

I like the way you protected the farm land from external agents to attack and eat them up. Also the kind way you stated about the women shouting "sugar sugar" in the market.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful diary with us. Hope Russians stop their battle

You really took time to write your diary report, omo the stock fish look tempting.

The udara looks like nwannu , I believe is so sweet, @essygold I love working in the garden too

You really had a nice day @easygold, to be sincere things had really changed in the market, high cost of everything, if you dont take time you might think you have lost money, you see that of udara, hmm no be nwannu oooo, na original nwaose.

Same here with me. I love planting Vegetables, because it will make you to eat it fresh any time you want

The way things are rising, i mean cost of living is too high now. But am happy because, the day of Jehovah has drawn near. @essygold, hope you share same mind with me?

Nice entry @essygold

Truly the increase in the rate of hardship today is really a fulfillment of The Bible's prophecy but we'll strive to continue surviving no matter the cost.
Sorry for your experience. It's really not a nice one to have bought above your budget.

Thanks for sharing.
