DEAR DIARY,
Boom!!!
I heard the sound of a gunshot at 8am.
I wake up, not knowing what is going on...
So here i am in Ebonyi State Abakaliki, Ishieke to be precise.
I know I over slept. but hey, I was up all night working. So don't judge me just yet.
so let's focus here shall we?
THE LOCKDOWN
Of course, I realized today is the day marked by Biafra to acknowledge their Biafra day here in the East.
We were all given strict warning across the states to stay indoors in order to avoid casualties because usually, in situations like this; there are casualties.
So me being the lodge representative in the house; waking up in the morning, I had to declare a lock down of the house in order to keep everyone safe and intact.
I made sure the gate was locked from 10am and there was no one coming in or out of the lodge.
We are about 67 persons being tenants of the lodge.
Though it was not easy keeping everyone indoor.
"One of the most difficult things in life, is guiding or controlling human beings because it requires a very high level of intelligent approach."
LET THE FUN BEGIN
Now that everyone is strapped in, safe and sound, the boys in the house start to lament saying;
"We are bored, there is nothing to do now that you have locked everyone in this lodge."
I laughed when they said this.
Hehehehe...
So I had a really cool idea to keep everyone's mind busy with some fun.
I went into the lodge store, picked up a long board, put a plastic reading table underneath it, put a long wooden stick aross the middle of the table and right there a local table tennis board was set.
Cool right??
The boys were excited. They had fun, and I was happy I put a smile on alot of peoples faces.
it will be good to know that table tennis happens to be my favourite sport. so, I had fun a little with the boys. I emerged to be the tennis champion of the game twice. Hehehe...
The lock down turned out to be really cool.
THE CARD GAME
For those that were not interested in table tennis, Well, I figured out everyone loves to play cards. Luckily for me, I had some cards stacked in my house.
I brought some cards for the card lovers to play with and keep themselves busy.
By the grace of God, up till now there has been no casualties, though there were records of two gun shots, but those gunshots were by police men which were shot to the sky for order to be maintained.
There you have it, it was a creative day packed with fun. I love my people and I'm happy my neighborhood had no record of a violent activity.
Thank God there was no violent activity, please stay safe, the country is not smiling at anyone

This is called leadership foresight, you did well. Our side at Aba was calm, we were all inside the compound, no moving out

It was a total lockdown in the east. Everyone indoor. It was the small price we had to pay for safety. Regards!
