History of the College

College of Education Akwanga was established in the year 1982 and many students have graduated from college and many are working as teachers because of the college is a teacher training institution and has helped many people to be exposed in many areas of life. College of Education Akwanga is the best place to study.

Departments in the College

The College has 5 faculties which are:
Sciences
Education
Arts and social sciences
Vocational education
Languages.
There are various departments such as French, Igbo, English, Agriculture science, Fine and applied arts, Social Study, Computer science, Home Economics, Geography, Economics, Earl Child Education etc.

School of languages

College Clinic

College of Education Akwanga has good clinic for there students and staff.
They run an excellent services such as laboratory, antenna and other minor sickness before referring the patient to a better hospital.

College Library

The College of Education Akwanga has good library for student to study and the library has many books and many projects.
The lecturers also visits the library to acquire more knowledge so they can teach their students

The Provost

College of Education Akwanga since 1982 had many Provosts such as Mr. Musa, Mr. Hosea Tsaku, Mrs. Victoria Monde, Mrs. Rebecca Umaru amongst others and presently, the name of the sitting provost is Rev. Jonathan Thani.
The provsot has been doing a great work in the school since his assumption of office.

College Security

College of Education Akwanga has many security bodies attached to the school and they include Policemen, Civil Defence and the local school security.
There are securities attached to every department.
I must applaude the security men for doing their jobs well in securing the school premises, students and properties.
They have really helped in silencing cult activities in the school.

College ICT

Information Communication Technology is not left out of the college.
Students pay tuition fees through the ICT after acquiring slip from the bank.
All the students information are kept in the ICT for safe records.

College Cafeteria

The college has a cafeteria designated at a particular location of the school where buying and selling happens.
There are other activities in the cafeteria such as food selling, business centers, POS etc.

Accomodations

The college has made accomodation provision for both male and female students and infact, for it's staff also.

Conclusion

College of Education Akwanga is a place to be to acquire knowledge for teachers.
Lectures are held from Mondays to Saturdays except on public holidays or special functions.
I couldn't capture students because the school is out of session.
