INTRODUCTION
Hi everyone, we are still writing to complete the 7 day writing challenge on going in this active community, @steemalive. It will soon be over
though, and I pray that I win, Amen. 😂, Thank you. Just follow me and hear me out in this topic I decided to write about, for our healthy consumptions and learning to expand our knowledge and for those that do not know it or how to bring African Salad, (abacha) to table for that needed enjoyment. You can decide to be making and eating abacha as your after meal or an in between meal in your family sometimes. It's a healthy snacks and makes one happy, mostly if you dilute it with a cold drink of your choice. It makes the heart happy. You feel like you are enjoying life by yourselves and for yourselves. So let's go there!!, 😁😁.
KOLANUT PRESENTATION IN IGBO LAND
Kolanut fruits, alligator pepper, bitter kola, groundnut source to eat them.
Kolanut in Igbo land is a very important gift/ presentation we give to our visitors in our homes and in any occasion. Without kolanut presentation occasions can not hold or be regarded as a perfect one. Have you seen how unavoidable kolanut is in any Igbo people's occasions??. Elders normally say that kolanut does not hear or speak English language. Our elders normally welcome and present kolanut to any gathering with Igbo language, elders will always say "he that brings kolanut, brings life" it's the culture and tradition. So according to Igbo culture, kolanut must be accepted in Igbo language too, what I mean here, is both the presentation and acceptance of kolanut must be done using Igbo language wherever and anywhere in the world. Except if the recipient is not from Igbo extract. The convener will just pray over it and will not present the kolanut culturally. If you are a foreigner that wants to marry our daughter, an Igbo girl, just learn now how it goes in any part of Igbo land without exemption, Eee woo, IGBO AMAKA !!!. 💟😂😌.
In Igbo land, when we have visitors we must present some edibles to them showing that the visitor/ visitors have been accepted, loved and welcomed by the owner of the house. Kolanut in Igbo land symbolises love, acceptance, appreciation and joy. The Igbos believe, that he who brings kolanut has brought life. Kolanut can be inform of anything you have at home and are capable of presentation or being given to someone or some people who visited you.
- Kolanut can be inform of
Garden eggs
Kolanut fruits from kolanut tree.
Soft drinks, example malt drink, pure drinking water can be regarded as kolanut, bear of all sorts, win of all sorts both alcoholic, beverages, none alcoholic drinks, even cooked food can be assumed as kolanut. It can also be inform of the popular African Salad which is a mixture of many edibles, certain leaves which are specifically prepared in a form that anyone can eat and enjoy it any day and any time, as an individual or in a group. There are some kolanut for my presentation here. If someone visited you and you do not have what to present at that moment as kolanut you will say, ("Akolam oji")
That is to say don't be offended I didn't present kolanut to you on your visit to me or to my home. The visitor or visitors will respond, never mind, it's ok!!.
