My Diary Game (17/03/22). How I Spent My Day taking care of my snail Farm by ityfrank

I woke up thankful on Thursday, the 16th of March, like every other day. I said my prayers, then, made breakfast and ate. After that, I decided to go check on my snailery: s usual, I remove the leftover food, replace them with fresh ones, then hey presto! My snails have laids eggs again! First it was just one egg I saw. Upon removing the soil, more were revealed!

I was a little bit worried; not because I'm having new eggs, but I was wondering where I'm going to keep and incubate them. Where I normally incubate eggs was already full with the previous eggs that haven't hatched yet. My worries seems to do very little or no good, because, as I inspected the other two snailery carefully, I discovered new eggs in each of them!

So I had to create a new incubator immediately and put the eggs.

Then I also noticed that I have not been doing a very good job taking care of the eggs. Some snails have laid the eggs for quite some time now, and I wasn't aware. Some eggs haved hatched on their own right there in the snailery!

Then, the bad new: A few, in the process of hatching, have died, dried up due to the unconduciveness of the environment.(Sad).

I've learnt my lessons though; I have to do a more often routine check on the snailery to see if there are any new eggs in the future.

Now I guess, without even having to explain anything, you can understand that it is very necessary to remove the eggs from the snailery and hatch them in a separate space where you can actually take care of them, and make sure it is moist enough so that the eggs can hatch well. Another important reason why you have to remove the eggs from the snailery is because the big snails can crush the eggs while crawling around with their big shells.

I also decided to use that opportunity and clean up the snailery. I removed all the old dry leaves I used in mulching, and put new ones. I also clean the sand: remove the top soil that is full with their droppings. It was was pretty exhausting...by the time I finished, it was late in the afternoon.

By this time, I was already hungry again. So I took my bath, made a little lunch and ate. After eating, I felt sleepy, so I decided to sleep for some minutes, but I ended up sleeping for over an hour. When I got up, it was time for me to go and teach my student.

Upon reaching there, his mum told me that they are going to start exams the following week, and that the examination timetable is out. So we went straight to what they'll be having on Monday which is Literacy and French. Since I don't know French, I could not teach him anything there, except to make him go over the things he was taught.
He's smart, so he as he sees his notes, he was saying them the best he could that he was taught. Then we had our class on Literacy: we learnt how to write a narrative essays and then we we went through the steps love writing an informal letter: which are:

• your address
• salutation
• the body of the letter
• the complimentary close and
• your signature (name).

For practice, I made him write a letter to his dad thanking him for a gift his dad got him, which he did his best.

After the lesson, I went home straight and called it a day as I didn't have enough money to go chill at my favourite spot where I normally play snooker n have some drinks.

I had a very busy, but fulfill day, even though I couldn't play my favourite snooker games...but I still thank God. As I was home earlier than other days, I use that opportunity to do a few writing on steemit, though I couldn't complete it, but I did a good part, then I slept.
