Hello steemit community, I glad to share with you all my first entry in the my-town-in-ten-pics challenge.
This entry explains my town with ten selected pictures. I currently reside in Port Harcourt and I will be revealing what a part of this city looks like. The area I'll be touring in this post is highlighted with dotted blue lines in the google map image below

I would like to show you what this area looks like. How about you take a walk with me? It's only a 10min walking distance, so it's not too far.
Alright, just read on.
1. Everyday Supermarket, Emporium 6
This is a branch of a popular retail chain in my city known as Everyday supermarket. This retail chain name their branches emporiums, with a number attached to it, probably according to the sequence they were built. This branch is called - Emporium 6.

2. Market Square, Choba
Opposite Everyday Supermarket Emporium 6, is another popular retail chain in the city of Port Harcourt. This one is called - Market Square. They are famed for offering cheaper prices on most of their items. Sometimes, it's even cheaper than roadside vendors.

3. Choba Junction, East-West road
Next is a very important junction in my city. It is close to the University of Port Harcourt campuses. Whenever students of this tertiary institution want to stage a protest, this junction is usually their target. Blocking the four roads that leads to this junction can cause a very serious traffic jam within and outside the state.

4. Kilimanjaro
Following our dotted blue lines, we take the next left turn and our next stop is at - Kilimanjaro. Kilimanjaro is a famous restaurant chain in my city and this is their branch at Choba. They're really good at what they do, judging by my favorite meal on their menu - their jollof rice.

5. Sammies Fast food
From Kilimanjaro, we move to another restaurant. This one is called - Sammies fast food. Though I've not tried them, but judging by the looks of their facilities from the outside and from their recent innovation, it's an ideal spot for hangouts.

6. University of Port Harcourt Business District
Going further down, we see a small gate that leads into Choba Park, one of the campuses of the University of Port Harcourt. Peeking into the campus, by our left, we see the University of Port Harcourt Business district, powered by Everyday Supermarket.

8. Ecobank, Choba
It's okay to move inside the complex. One of the banks we'll see there is Ecobank. This is the Choba-branch of the bank. Ecobank is a self acclaimed pan-African bank. I'll prefer to remain tight lipped on my opinion about their banking services.

9. U&C Microfinance Bank
Another bank we can find is the U&C microfinance bank. It's a very important bank in the University of Port Harcourt as the school accepts lots of important fees payments through this bank.

10. UBA, Choba
The third and last bank we can find in this complex is the Union Bank for Africa Plc. This is my favorite bank, as far as online transactions are concerned. Another reason why this is my favorite bank is because it offers the highest number of ATMs making sure thier customers are covered. In this complex alone, there are 6 ATMs.
