Our creeks, riverbank, and offshore border are becoming unsafe and unhygienic due to the rise of dumping waste into water bodies. Residential buildings, hotels, and office complexes having river banks as their border suffer a lack of fresh air, due to the smell from the close by creeks or rivers. Lack of good ventilation is detrimental to human health as this can cause liver, kidney, or entire body dysfunction.

As we can see, Communities around such areas are faced with a lack of potable water, good ventilation, unhygienic food which leads to malaria, diarrhea, dysentery, and all sort of illnesses which reduces the life span of individuals living in such areas.
The first call to action in the reduction of activities that causes climate change is awareness to the citizens of the deadly effect of gas flaring, cutting of trees and improper waste disposal.
Improper Waste disposal can be reduced to it’s nearest minimum and also effect changes through some sensitive measures which I have practiced are listed below

Farm manure
Up to 70% of waste generated from homes are biological waste which can be used as manure in our little garden or farm other than dumping it into water bodies or road side.

Waste water from laundry and Kitchen can be treated and reused other than channeling them into water bodies.
Above is a picture of waste (yam peels) from the kitchen, I used this as a manure in the farm since it’s degradable, to boast the strength of soil.

Recycling product
Some waste product are none degradable such as plastic, foils and polyethylene’s. This can be recycled into new product or in production of an entirely new product. This plastic can be sold to recycling companies in exchange for money. Below are the last plastics i gethered to be sold to recycling company.

In AFRICA research shows that 80% of waste founded in water bodies are plastic container and as a result, this causes blockage of drainages and environmental pollution.

Egg Shell	used carton

Egg shell is another waster material that can be use in the production of vim used for washing some kitchen utensils. To make vim you need
• Egg shell
• Salt
• Detergent
Steps in making vim
• Dry the egg shell under the sun very well
• Grind the shell and add salt to the mix in the bowel
• Add detergent to the mixture and your vim is ready to use.

With these measures the reduction in climate change is greatly reduced, and our environment will for ever be a better place. Thanks for reading through.
