He watched as she positioned herself carefully between the two huge rocks, careful not to trip. She found a spot, plain enough and sat down. Her blonde hair let loose on her shoulders as she leaned back and watched the Cascade.
"What is a lady doing here at this time of the night?" He wondered
The moon's glow on her pale skin made her look like an angel,
"a little closer I would see her face", he thought
Katherine sat oblivious of her environment, her thoughts focused on the event that will take place any moment from now. She touched her face, she could feel the hardness, the change had begun. For some reason, sitting close to the waterfall and watching the moon helped her not to go on a rampage, the beautiful scenery reminded her a part of her was still human. She felt her gown tear from the hard scales that had formed on her back, a moment from now she'll be done with it.
Jared was intent on seeing her face, he didn't take notice she had increased by a few cm, neither did he see the talons that had replaced her slender fingers; then she screamed as something in her snapped, the horns were out of her head, it stopped him in his tracks, his eyes bulged out.
This was the first time he'd seen a hybrid ghoul, he would be dead before he knew it, she turned and looked in his direction- the hair stood in his back, the sweat trickled down his spine. She had the most beautiful face for a beast, and just like he saw her; like lightening she disappeared. But deep down he knew he wanted this beast; perhaps he could be her beauty, and of course he wasn't the only one who did.
