This wedding started on Friday from the pride father compound for the engagement where both the pride and groom putting on, their Native dress: the husband put on white material and rose pink agbada with Fila (cap) while the wife put on buba and Iro with gele

The engagement which is known as the traditional part of the ceremony on Friday took place at exactly 10:00am at the pride father compound as the venue, Where family and friends of the groom including me myself have to follow them to the pride father compound at exactly 9:00am before the engagement started. Traditional drummers, the MC including the Dj are inside the canopy, even the caterer service canopy is at the back of the pride fathers house where different types of food are cocking over there, the family of the pride sat down on the right side inside the canopy while the groom family sat down on the left side inside their own canopy where both parents of the pride and the groom have to seat at the front of both the left and right of their family canopy including the head of the family.

Plenty invitees are present on the engagement including some student which attend same university with both the pride and the groom. This is day where the family of The pride collected the price prize from the groom family which includes Palm oil, Yam, cola nut, bitter cola, Bag of rice and fruits e.t.c are all put in one side of the corner then started carrying it out one after the other.

On that day the ceremony start with Opening prayer later the MC called on the groom to so himself in the present of the pride family’s if anything is wrong with any part of he’s body by doing this it shows that their daughter did a good job to marry a very handsome guy. During this period the pride is inside a room with remaining daughters of the family. So later the MC call on the pride for she to come out so her parents can pray for her and handover her to the groom family.

ON THE WEDDING CEREMONY DAY

On this wedding day on Saturday morning all the friends of both the pride and the groom including me my self as a friend of the groom put on men in agbada white senators wears and the females put on whites materials. Both the friend of the pride and the groom have to sit down together a close chair to each other arranged two on a row one male one female. This ceremony start from the church, Christ External church from 9:00am
By 12:00pm the move out from the church to an event centre called Royal Bay Event centre for the remaining part of the wedding ceremony, where refreshments and entertainment took place.

PLEASANTRY TIME.

This is the 30 minutes, which is ample time to cover the basics (words of welcome, a few readings, your vows, the ring exchange, kiss, cutting of cake, party time, time for refreshments and the final pronouncement).

Now during the reception both family, friends including the pride and groom are in happiness, when the musicians start with there music instruments for entertainment, more also refreshments is also going as well. Presentation of gift and prizes from friends and family continue as well.

CLOSE OF THE MEETING

The Ceremony took place more than 2hours in the church around 10:00am in the morning till 12:00 noon,
then after the activities in the church they all went to the event centre call Royal bay for the reception which is more than 3 hours from 12:00pm till 4:00pm
refreshment are be made available for the ceremony, which everybody take at the end of the ceremony.

IN CONCLUSION

I will say the wedding ceremony days is a day which the couples have ever experience in their life because this is the only time they are going to witness as a wedding ceremony, because this day will only happen once in their lifetime, during the entertainment in the reception both the pride and groom dance like never before, more also there church student department made them a picture frame as a wedding gift .
