Good-day my fellow steemians I hope you all are doing great today, with great pleasure, I welcome y'all to another of my daily dairy post on my convocation ceremony at Olabisi Onabanjo university Which is the 28th/29th convocational ceremony of this great institution for the 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 Academic sessions for presentation of prizes and Award of Bachelor Degree, postgraduate diploma, Higher Degrees and conferment of Honorary Degrees.
My convocation ceremonies it is a great day that I haven’t experience in my life, it is a great pleasure that I witness this days with tears of joy and happiness that I graduated with my set class of 19 after my 400 level final year exam without having any carryovers and missing scripts, because it is not easy and it is not a day job for good four (4) years of undergraduate.
This convocation started a week before the convocation with pre convocation activities inside the Otunba Gbenga Daniel Hall (OGD)hall inside the school main campus in Agoiwoye with different kinds of shows and plays church’s programs included as well.
This convocation started from Monday 27th and ended Wednesday 30th January 2020, which Faculty of Sciences, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences and college of Agricultural science started the convocation on 27th January, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of law and college of Engineering on the 28th, Faculty of social sciences, Management Sciences and college of Medicine on 29th while post graduate diploma, masters degrees and Honorary Degrees ended the convocation on 30th January.
On the early morning of my convocation day, the event started by 9:00am in the morning when all graduating students of all Faculty of Education, law, Arts and college of Engineering gathered themselves inside the School main Campus at Otunba Gbenga Daniel (OGD) Hall to have their sit according to faculty by faculty, me as one of the graduals under the faculty of Education have my sit with the role of my faculty.
On exactly 9:00am the ceremony started when the Administrative and principal officers which consist of the visitors Governor, Pro-chancellor, Vice chancellor, Deputy vice chancellor, Registrar, Bursar and Acting University Librarian.
Dr Dapo Abiodun Executive Governor Of Ogun State a visitor to the school, Hon minister of finance Dr Mrs Zainub Ahmed who is also an alumni of the school, Mrs. Mosun Belo-Olusoga as the pro-chancellor, Prof. Ganiyu Olatunji Olatunde as the vice chancellor of the school and Olu of Ilaro Oba kehinde Olugbenle gathered to inter the OGD Hall and all graduating student including me keep remain standing until they reach the podium at the front, after this we have to the recite the National Anthem follow by the Ogun state Anthem and the School OOU Anthem before the event started.
After reciting the anthems it was the turn of recognition and honours of the school deans of all faculties and dean of student affairs and the recognition of special guests of honour of other university vice chancellor and other associates professors with some paramount rulers to the high table. After this the school vice chancellor declared the congregation of the convocation ceremony open.
More also the graduating students and their parents are inside the Hall while family’s and friends gathered outside the hall under different tents and canopies waiting outside for there graduals to come outside from the hall for time to party.
This is the two hours time that is meant for the Opening prayer, and the Speech from Mr Governor including both the minister of finance and the vice chancellor speech.
More also it is the time meant for the presentation of prizes for the best graduating students from each departments, each Faculties and for the overall Best graduating student in the school for both two sessions.

2 | We talked about the arrival of the State Governor, Minister of finance and other principals and Administrative officers including the vice chancellor, deputy vice chancellor, pro-chancellor and the paramount ruler of ilaro.
3 | We talk about the going in of the school senate including the student union president S.U.G into the hall
4 | We further explained how both the National, State and school Anthem be recite.
5 | We also discuss about the presentation of prizes to the best graduating students.
Now the newly graduating student are happy and in tears of joy for graduating with there set including me my personal self and getting preparing for one year National service scheme none as (Nysc)
The convocation took place for 3hours, we always have a good time after the end of the convocation. Refreshments are been made Available on the convocation day outside the OGD Hall from different parents of the graduals, which everyone takes at the end of the convocation.
In conclusion the Executive Governor Of Ogun State Dr. Prince Dapo Abiodun offer automatic jobs for the two overall best graduating students of 2017/18 and 2018/19 academic sessions into the state civil service. Ajayi Jesulayomi of the department of Electrical /Electronic Engineering with (CGPA) of 4.76 for 2017/18 sessions and Chinoso Justice of the biochemistry department who (CGPA) is 4.76 to clinch the best graduating student of 2018/19 sessions.
