Good-day my fellow steemians i hope you are all doing well today, with great pleasure, I welcome you all to the first session of my daily dairy and today I will be sharing with us about my passing out parade on Friday under the umbrella of National youth service corps (Nysc) Aba south, Abia state
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is a program set up by the Nigerian government to involve Nigerian graduates in nation building and the development of the country. ... This is known as national service year. There is no military conscription in Nigeria, but since 1973 graduates of universities and later polytechnics have been required to take part in the National Youth Service Corps program for one year.[1] This is known as national service year. Ahmadu Ali served as the first Director-General of the NYSC until 1975.[2] The incumbent Director-General is Shuaibu Ibrahim.
On the passing out parade day all passing out corps members are to be at the Aba south local government council for the passing out ceremony on a zonal level which involve 5 local local government: Aba north, obingwa, Isialangwa north, Isialangwa south and Aba south as the zonal headquarter. Before the passing out parade day a message was sent to the WhatsApp group by the local government inspector (LGI or LI) that on coming to the ceremony all passing out corps members should dress on Mofty because of the level of insecurity in the south East part of the country on IPOB and BIAFRA sit-at-home.
On this day 21st October 2021 Thursday the passing out parade ceremony was taking place in 31 out of the 36 state of the federation while the other remaining state from south East Nigeria: Abia state, Anambra state, IMO state, Enugu and Eboyi state need to wait till following morning on Friday 22nd October for their own passing out parade day because of Thursday 21st October IPOB and BIAFRA sit-at-home.
On the passing out parade day some corps members put on their Nysc uniforms kharki with crested vest and juggle boot while some dress up in mofty because of the fear of IPOB and BIAFRA rules.
On my way going to the ceremony as a corps members I dress on a mofty to follow LGI instructions and later after some hours I change back to put on my kharki after having my certificate of National service to take a picture of my self with it.
This is the 30 minutes time to deliver the passing out speech from the NYSC director general DG and the State coordinator by the the zonal inspector ZL and the recognitions Of other five local government inspectors LGI’s with CLO’s with other staff members.

Now the passing out corps members are in jubilation and Mood of joy after complete the one year service program and taking pictures with their certificate of National service and with friends and loves one .
The Ceremony take place more than 3hours around 8:00am in the morning till 12:00 noon,
then after the activities the farewell speech and closing prayer for the passing out corps members follows,
refreshment are be made available for the ceremony, which everybody take at the end of the ceremony.
I will say the passing out parade day is a day every passing out corps members love most because it is a great day during the service year. We don't fail to take group pictures and videos (of both serving and passing out corps members)and post to our different social media handles in doing this we are giving thanks to Almighty God and parents and guidance for the successful support during the academic year before the start of the Nysc program.
