Hello steemalive community, thanks for these contests. This is A contest that will bring about the old wins and the old wounds.
#Introduction#

Without much Ado, I'll be writing on A personal story of how my uncle helped me. The major help i'll be writing about happened i think precisely 2013.

#Who is the relative to you#
The relative in question is my uncle from my mother's side.

#What difficulty were you facing at that time.#

While I was in school, i didn't want to study in Nigeria so i didn't bother applying to write jamb because all my hopes were high, all i focused on was my online scholarship exams for universities abroad. But here comes my uncle, he insisted that i must write jamb after much deliberation i concurred. I prepared for the exam and i went to write it.
Getting to the examination hall that day my whole body system changed and i couldn't figure out what was wrong with me but all i knew was that i wasn't myself anymore, i started vomiting accompanied with severe headache, as time went on, i lost strength and i couldn't write any longer.
Sincerely I lost hope in my self for the first time in my life. It wasn't like i didn't know what to write but this emergency sickness spoilt the whole day for me and it also affected my body. So I didn't have any other option than to leave the examination hall devastated and frustrated so i left the vicinity waiting to see my result in few days to come.
The result came out and my God! I failed. I wit bitterly after i saw the result but i couldn't still myself because i know that the sickness led to the failure.

The difficulty i faced was the rejection i got from everyone around me including my immediate family. I lost confidence in myself and in my vision, i felt i was a failure in life, i thought that if i couldn't pass the Nigeria examination "JAMB" how will i pass the international universities scholarship examinations. So I lost hope totally in my self and i Even lost sight of my vision.

#Were you helped or ignored#
Yes, I was helped and I'll be writing in detail how i was helped. After the rejection my UNCLE came all out for me as a backbone, he supported me and encouraged me to come back on my toes to write my other examinations and i did, surprisingly i came out with flying colours.
I never imagined i could get myself back after falling my JAMB examinations but i was restored emotionally because my uncle was there for me. I couldn't ask for more at that time other than the support i got from him.

#Do you think they were capable of helping you?#

Sincerely, i never expected that hello will come from him even though i know that he could help and that's why I'm still grateful to him till tomorrow for the helping hand he rendered to me

#What is your advice to friends that are shunned or ignored#
My advise to friends that were shunned or ignored will be that even though they've been ignored, they should try and always be of help to people when they have any opportunity to do so because from my last Friday post, i made a comment on *how you allow your experiences can bring about a good choice or a bad choice and these choices controls how you live your life.
So my Fellow Steemians, no matter what happens to you in life, choose to be uniquely good.
