I can't decipher what I want

pushed away from my dream
hearts as cold as ice towards me
because I'm more than they want me to be
the rain run down my cheeks
looking up to sky, oh!
the sky is bright and clear

thoughts running through my head
like the busy roads of lagos
for a thing, I can light it up
so they can put it out
ever stubborn as me
fierce like the lion
cause I'll still light it up

I'm bright and brilliant
I can do what they can; even more

why do they say we can't?

they can say what they want
they can do what they want
but there's a voice inside my head
that small voice that they can't stop
it tells me that I can do it
that I am more that they think
I am unscripted; unstoppable
