introduction

Hello friends, welcome to the last day of the "5 days writing challenge", so today I'll be talking about a movie star by name Akindele Olufunke Ayotunde ,a world recognised actress.

Background

Akindele Olufunke Ayotunde also known as Funke Akindele is a beautiful, talented and world known actress. She was born on August 24,1977 in Ikorodu Lagos State Nigeria. Funke is the second of three children. Her father is retired school principal while her mother is a medical doctor. In 2012,she got married to Kehinde Oloyede Adeola. However the union did not last as the couple got a divorce the following year. In May 2016,she had a secret wedding in London where which tied the tnot with popular Nigerian rapper Abdul Rasheed Bello also known as JJc skills.

Education

She completed her primary school education in Calabar, Cross River State and obtained her first school leaving certificate. After which she completed her secondary school education in Ikorodu Lagos State and also obtained her West Africa Senior School certificate. She proceeded to former Ogun State polytechnic now known as Moshood Abiola Polytechnic where she obtained a National diploma in Mass communication. She proceeded to University of Lagos State where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in law.

Career/Achievements

In 1998,she joined the Nigeria movie industry Nollywood and started attending movie auditions and acting as minor character in movies. She came into limelight when she played the role of Bisi, a brilliant secondary school student in the United Nations population fund sponsored sitcom; "I need to know" which ran from 1998-2002. Her big break was in 2008 after she featured in the movie jenifa. Shortly after,she launched her television comedy series that tells the story of village girl "jenifa" who went to the city in search of greener pastures. Currently the series is the most watched in Nigeria. She had featured in over 100 Nollywood movies some of them include; maami,industreet,A trip to Jamaica e.t.c. . She is the founder of scene one school of drama, an acting school that tutors aspiring actors,producers and dancers on how to develop their talents and be the best in their creative courses. She is also the CEO of scene one production, a content production company for television stations and movies.

Awards/Nominations

She won the best actress leading role at the 2009 Africa movie academy awards. The same year, she also won the best actress at the Nigeria entertainment Awards. In 2010 ,she was nominated as the best actress in a leading role at the Nollywood awards. She also won the 2012 Nigeria entertainment Awards as the best actress and many more.

why I choosed her/conclusion

She has a happy soul and always try to make every where lively and fun with her comedy series. I have also learnt from that I shouldn't let my mistakes hold me back. She's hardworking, cheerful, generous and beautiful. She's not a perfect being but her spirit and beautiful qualities is a good one. Thank you all for reading and see you in the next contest.
