Hello my fellow steemians, it is with a heart full of joy and gratitude that I am making this acceptance post. Few hours ago, steemalive announced its first city coordinators in a post here. To my surprise, I found my name there. I couldn't believe it. It is a call for service that comes with a great responsibility. However, it is worth it. These city coordinators will assist @steemalive to achieve is objectives of taking Steemit to every doorstep, recruit, mentor and retain new users to Steemit and to power mass adoption of Steem blockchain

I hereby wholeheartedly agree to serve as a city coordinator for Uyo, Akwaibom State. I also accept to carry out all that are expected of a city coordinator, which includes
Promoting Steemit in the city utilizing all avenues available.Making sure users in the city know and support each other, Organizing small, but regular meetups for users in the city, Organizing small campaigns to promote Steemit. Making sure each user is active on Steemit. Passing steemitblog updates to members quickly and keeping them informed. Helping new users to get started. Helping old members to overcome any challenges and motivating them. Maintain up-to-date record of users from their city, Makes weekly report of City activity through a post.

Those duties are achievable with commitment.
Currently and to the best of my knowledge, we are 5 steemit members here in Uyo.

I will appreciate it if any Athenian who is resident in Uyo, who is not among those listed above to identify with us so that we can work together in promoting steemit in Uyo.

I will try my best to keep them all active and to recruit newbies.
I will also organise meet ups in eatery houses, or any other location that will be suitable for all.
I also plan to create a whatsapp group chat where I can help members to understand steemit very well. Further updates will be made on other plans

In pursuance of the above duties, costs will be incured and as such, we will need the assistance of @steemitblog and @steemcurator01. We know that publicity and advertisement goes with cost. We will appreciate it if they readily come to our rescue when such needs arise.

I appreciate @steemalive in its efforts to get to the grassroots to get users and support old Athenians. My prayer is that we all succeed in onboarding and retaining users especially in my city here, Uyo.
