INTRODUCTION

Hello diary! I had an amazing shopping day at the market today which I wish to share. I appreciate @amdasharif for organizing this amazing contest and I'm glad to be participating as well.

Morning

I woke up as early as 4:35am and had a little quiet time for myself. I enjoy having quiet times especially when I wake up so early in the morning because it helps guide me on how to go about my daily activities, it also serves as a motivation for me to remind me how far i've gone in life.

After my quiet time, around 9:05am, I had my breakfast. And being that my plate of spaghetti was empty with no meat or fish I decided to add a cup of hot tea to compliment. Hahahaha!

Afternoon

By noon, I was already set to go to the market to get some foodstuffs. And when I got to the market, I was so happy that today was not a market day in my locality, because if it were to be a market day, everywhere will be so crowded and noisy.

And after I was done with my shopping I went to the bike station and got one that took me back home.

I bought so many food items like a carton of indomie, spaghetti, a paint of beans, a bottle of groundnut oil, some satchets of milk and Milo and some foodstuff for cooking soup.

And after i arranged my foodstuffs, I was so tired from the shopping so I decided to take a nap.

Evening

I woke up from my nap in the evening and cooked soup for the weekend. I made my local soup called "BITTERLEAF SOUP"

Normally, this soup can be made with only "melon seed" (egusi) as we call it in igbo dialect or a combination of both the melon seed and a thickner called "ogbono. But I enjoy using both the melon seed and ogbono to cook.

And after I was done making the soup, I made garri(eba) and my dinner was ready to be served.

After I was done with the whole cooking, I tidied up my kitchen and had my evening bath. And now I'm ready to go to bed.

CONCLUSION

I had a stressful but amazing day today at the market. And as for the cooking, that was also another wonderful moment for me because it helped me enhance my cooking skills.
