This night i am going to write on an important topic that is affecting the world today especially our young ones,our children and how parents will on guard towards that. I wish you all happy reading.
WHAT IS PEDOPHILE?
Pedophilia is a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction towards children/a child.
Now that we have seen the definition of pedophilia,let us look at a children.

A child is anyone below the age of 18. Also note that children are gifts from God and he expects us as earthly guardians to take proper care of each and everyone of them.
One of our major duties is to keep away from these psychatrist patients called pedophile. There are different ways children can be abused. Below are some ways they can be abused:
CHILD MOLESTATION
Child molestation is also known as child sexual abuse. It is a secret crime involving a range of indecent sexual activities between an adult and a child.
TYPES OF MOLESTATION
1.Defilement
2.Rape
3.Fingering
4.Making a child watch pornography
5.Exposing the genitals
6.Indecent dressing
7.Fondling etc.
WHO COULD ABUSE YOUR CHILD
ANSWER:Anybody.
Studies show that over 95% of sexually abused children are abused by persons known or close to the child or the child's family.
Abusers are mostly not strangers. They are right there in your house,co- tenants,family members,lesson teachers,neighbors. There friends in school,hostel,classmates,class/school teachers,cousins,uncles,nephew,neice,fathers,step fathers,grandfathers,imans,choir masters,pastors,confidants,security guard,maids,family/school drivers,after school teachers,teachers,mummy's friend,daddy's friend,caregivers,strangers etc are capable of committing this crime.
CAUSES OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE
Parental negligence,carelessness,non-challant attitude,absentee parents,parents who do not observe,when the kids are not informed,what you watch with your kids and indecent dressing by our children.
WHERE CAN YOUR CHILD BE SEXUALLY ABUSED
-On your bed
-Right under your nose,under your roof
-In the school environment-class,toilet etc
-Hostel
-Parties
-In there room(siblings)
-Deserted/abandoned places
-When you are distracted and so on.
HOW DO PEDOPHILES GET THE VICTIMS
Grooming,baits,emotional bait,gift baits,financial baits,familiarity and respect bait,gaining the trust and of a minor with the intention of having sex relationship with them.
HOW TO IDENTIFY A POSSIBLE ABUSER
They easily and conveniently accept to care for your child while your are away. They can be hard on the child especially if the child rejecting his moves,or the child feels uncomfortable when he/she sights the abuser or when the abuser is around. Also they always try to be around your child or vice versa. Also remember that twins can abuse themselves and sibblings can also abuse each other. It has happen before and is happening till date.
Parents should teach there children the SRR action:
S:Shout/scream
R:Run
R:Report.
Also remember that they may or will threaten your child with words like: i will kill you
You will die
Your mummy will hate you
Your mummy will beat you
Your mummy and daddy will die or
He could cut the child ,lick the blood and tell him or her this a blood covenant,the day you speak of it is the day you die .
WHAT ARE SIGNS THAT YOUR CHILD HAS BEEN ABUSED

-Isolation
-Aggressiveness
-Anxiety/fear
-Difficulty in walking
-Sudden drop in academic performance
-Poor social interaction
-Sexually transmitted diseases.
Please parents,dress to cover them,teach them privacy,they must knock and seek permision before they enter your room. And know too it is wrong to bath them together irrespective of sex.
Please note that children don't tell lies about abuses,if they tell you,believe and respond immediately.
Remember we pay more attention to girls than the boys. Boys are mostly victims of anal sex but we don't pay attention. For them ,healing is a terrible process.
As you watch over your girls,also watch over your boys,don't be hard on them,strike a balance between love and discipline. Give them sex education proportional to their age. A child of 2 years or even less is due for it. Encourage them to speak out.
With this you can protect them,above all,always pray together with them and ask God for help.
