I wish to use this medium to appreciate@steemalive for this contest as this will enable many to know the health benefits of most fruits we eat every day.
Fruits are very essential to the human body that we are supposed to never depart from them in a day.
Fruits sho be served bef and after meals to help stabilize our body systems.
Today, I will be sharing the health benefits of the following fruits:
- Apples
- Cucumber
- Watermelon
- Pear
- Soursop
- Coconut
- Banana
- Cashew nuts
- Pawpaw
- Pineapple
Relax while I take you on fruits cruise.
Apples
Apples are one of my favorite fruit and a popular saying goes that
An apple a day keeps off the doctor.
Apple is a very popular fruit which is nutritious to the body.
It contains vitamin C and fiber.
It aids weight loss and it's good for the heart.
Its also lower cholesterol, prevents cancer ,fights asthma and bone health.
Cucumber
Cucumber can either be served as vegetable or fruit pending on how it is being served.
As for this topic, I will consider it as a fruit.
Cucumber is low in calories and contains some amount of water, high in many important vitamins and minerals.
Eating of cucumber peel gives enough nutrients to the body and serve as antioxidant, promotes hydration and lower blood sugar.
Make the habit of eating cucumber.
It's good for you.
Watermelon
This is another fruit that helps hydrate the body because of the excess water it contains.
It also prevents cancer, improves heart health, reliefs muscles soreness and provides fiber.
Watermelon can be eaten with the seeds.
Very nutritious
Pear
Pear is another delicious fruit that is good for the body.
Sometimes I add pear to my jollof rice and the taste is wow.
Pear is highly nutritious and contains vitamin C and K, essential in digestion, and also antiinflammatory properties.
Give it a trial and you will be glad you did
Coconut
Coconut is another highly nutritious fruit which is covered with a hard shell to protect the sweet and milky components inside of it.
This fruit promotes blood sugar control, contains powerful antioxidant and it's easy to add to diet.
It also helps in heart health.
You can try eating coconut with date fruit and you will surely return with a testimony
Banana
Banana is another fruit that helps lower blood pressure, reduces cancer and asthma.
It is rich in vitamin C and heart health.
It aids digestion, prevents memory loss, rich in minerals and potassium.
Bananas are very sweet especially when eaten with roasted groundnuts.
Cashew nuts
Cashew nuts are another nutritious fruit that is rich in copper, zinc, magnesium etc.
It helps in heart health, prevents blood diseases, protects the eyes,good for the skin and aids weight loss.
Pineapple
Wow! This is another juicy, delicious and nutritious fruit that is rich in vitamin C and minerals.
This fruit aid digestion,it's a meat tenderizer, antioxidant, antiinflammatory and analgesic properties.
Soursop
This is another fruit that is low in calories, contains fiber and vitamin C.
It is an antioxidant which neutralizes harmful components.
It kills cancer cells, reduce inflammation and stabilizes blood sugar level.
Orange
Orange is the most popular and common fruit of I am not mistaken.
Orange is a citrus fruit which has high vitamin C.
It clears and maintain the skin, contains antioxidant that reduce inflammation and the risk of cancer.
It also reduces blood pressure,heart and its a source of fiber and potassium.
It helps in weight loss ,and has folate,fiber and calcium potassium.
Pawpaw
Pawpaw is a fruit rich in vitamin C and A.
Contains fiber, folate, potassium etc.
It lowers cholesterol, boost immunity, promotes hair growth and great eye care.
Conclusion
Making fruit consumption a habit gives more benefits to the eater because eating a lot of fruits can keep you away from the doctor for a long time and it will make you look younger, fresher and healthier always.
I advise you make that a habit
