Hello fellow steemians on @SteemAlive, I am back again with another interesting topic called "Courtesy".
Why not sit and relax while I tell you few things about having courtesy.

What is Courtesy?

Courtesy is a polite behaviour or gesture towards another.

So many people take this term "COURTESY" for granted most times. Thereby they feel it's a normal routine to just ignore someone without coutery.

Being polite or showing courtesy has earned some people opportunities, saved lives and created reputable relationships.

Examples of courtesy

  • Thank you
  • Please
  • Excuse me
  • Knocking doors before you enter

Subsequently from the above points, I want to talk about one of the mentioned courtesy that seems forgotten but extremely important.

Knocking before you enter any house or office.

Some houses provide doorbell to be used by guests before entering the house.
That provosion is made because of the importance of knocking before entering.

Though some people enter into others' houses or offices without a common courtesy of knocking or taking an excuse before entery.
As a civilized fellow, we ought to have some courtesy in our day to day activities.

Courtesy demands that before you enter any house or office, you must be polite enough to knock, wait for permission before you enter.
In fact, I say even if it is your house and people are inside already, you are expected to knock or take excuse before you enter. Yes it is your house and nobody is disputing that but you have to show some regards to the people inside.

I believe in living by example. And also believe that you treat people how you wish to be treated.
It is not downgrading your personality, but showing how cultured and polite you are.

Conclusion

Finally, I urge us all to show courtesy to people we meet wherever we find ourselves.
Thanks a million.

A wonderful write up @patience90. I in fact learned a lesson through your post. I don't knock when entering my own house. I will start doing that. Thanks.

Please do.
We know it's your house but you need to teach by example.
