My experience at school(Abia State Polytechnic, Aba) yesterday will always be an experience to remember, it was not funny it was a dark day for all the students as we seek for justice for our very own. It was a hashtag justice for Chidinma day.

Abiapoly was scheduled to have their first semester exams on Thursday, 23rd of September 2021. So I prepared for school and possibly exams, even though I knew the exams won't hold because of the results for the schools last session has not every been pasted for every department, mine inclusive.

When I got to school around 9am that morning I saw the gate was locked and students climbing the flyover abi walk over in large quantities with ply cards having different inscriptions starting the protest already.

I didn't know what was going on so I asked one student, she told me that an SLT student was raped and it did shock me. I also asked her if it was in the school, she said no that it was in her Lodge. Another student said they are also protesting against the non accreditation of Engineering Students in Abiapoly.

So this is the summary of what happened at aba owerri road yesterday at Abia State Polytechnic, Aba.Abia State Polytechnic, Aba Students today took to the Streets along Aba-Owerri Road to Brass Junction protesting over the Rape of a certain Miss Chidinma of Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) Department by Men of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) Eziama Aba North, of the Nigerian Police Force.

The students Union led by Comr Prince Ibeh (SUG President) narrated that the victims involved alerted him over the phone about the incident last night which he conducted proper underground investigation to ascertain whether the allegations were true or false. And truthfully the incident happened at the late hours of Wensday at New Heaven's Lodge Immaculate.

In the same vein, the Engineering Department of the Institution also protested over Non-Accreditation of their Course's which has led to some of them not Serving after their Higher National Diploma Program in the School. The Students cried out bitterly and call on the Management to do the needful before they (the Students) can write their 2020/2021 first Semester Exams.

Other Protest that arised

1. Non Payment of Staff Salaries for 29 Months.
2. No drainage and motorable place in the Institution

Infact the students blocked the busy Aba-Owerri Road Axis for over 3hours chanting Aluta songs while displaying placards with different descriptions.

We all want justice to be served in different places where it should.
