Am super excited to be participating in our foremost steemalive contest for Lagos city. Indeed it shows we are making progress. A big thanks to our able city coordinator @talktofaith for her patience and mentorship. A shout to @focusnow for giving us this platform @steemalive, to express our selves.

Today i will be extensively talking on the contest topic " How do you visualize yourself on steemit in the next 3years" amazing topic right?

VISUALIZE :

when the word visualize is mentioned what comes to your mind? I mean what does it mean? Knowing what this word means will help me a lot to write on this contest topic. To visualize means to see with the eyes of mind and to have a mental picture of a thing, a person or subject.

So for the fact that the contest topic says how do you visualize yourself on steemit , it then means there is a need to tell what steemit is.

BRIEF KNOWLEDGE ABOUT STEEMIT

it is no secret that steemit is not just one of the many social media out there. Steemit is a decentralized block chain social media, an intersting one at that. I joined steemit early this year, precisely february 2020, and it has been an amazing walk.

what makes steemit different?

• Steemit is different because anyone can earn by writting original quality content
• Steemit is different because it pays its users with a cryptocurrency known as steem
• It has an embodiment of communities where anyone can fit in and express them selves e.g @steemgeography @steemalive
• There is so much to learn on steemit aside earning e.g you can learn about cryptocurrency on @cryptoacademy community.
• On steemit platform users have 100% control of their account therefore it can not be blocked.
• On Steemit earnings are done in 3ways; investment, Author reward and curation reward.

Now that i have successfully shared a brief knowledge on what steemit is, i will then move on to say my purpose on steemit.

Purpose defines the actions of humans in general. And a person without a purpose will have no direction in life. Purpose is asking ones selve the question of why? Or asking your self the reason for doing what you do. Purpose is like a driving force..

My purpose on steemit incudes the following;

• TO IMPROVE MY WRITING SKILLS:

I know i have always loved to write and tell stories, so my first attraction to this amazing platform was when i heard that i can write post and even improve on my writing skills, i was wowed! Writing has been an important aspect of my life and finding the right place to write is one huge challenge, but coming to join steemit has given me a huge relief. Like i said earlier i joined steemit earlier this year, and within the space of 3months i have improved in my writing, for example it was from steemit i heard about markdown and am gradually learning how to impliment them in my writings. Thank you to steemit.

• I JOINED STEEMIT BECAUSE I CAN STEEM FROM MY COMFORT ZONE

Oh yes one of the reasons i joined steemit was because i can steem from just anywhere i feel comfortable, i dont need to report in a particular place to be able to post my writing. And its amazing and it gives me great delight!

• I JOINED BECAUSE I CAN BE MY OWN BOSS

  I joined steemit because i can be my own boss, there is this freedom that comes with you been the boss. Steemit is work for me, i mean i have taken it as my job and am the boss of myself.
  I have always loved to be an independent person and when i heard about steemit i quickly grabbed the opportunity to join because it gives the such independence!

• TO BOOST MY FINANCIAL CAPACITY

I have had my own share of not having money in my pocket. One reason or purpose why i joined steemit has to burst my financial capacity. I needed a job that would enable me have to time for myself and would not stress me out. So when i heard that i can post content on steemit and earn i was overly excited. I could not just wait to join. Now i can comfortable pay my bills and render help to others who dont have. All thanks to steemit. The place of money can not be ruled out on steemit.

• TO IMPART OTHERS WITH KNOWLEDGE

I looked forward to where i can dispense the knowledge i have because i love to teach others. So when i heard that on steemit only quality original contents are voted i was encouraged to join .
Am not just on steemit to learn, am also here to teach too. I know there is a role i need to play for the contineous growth of steemit, so when i have the opportunity to write i try so much to impart knowledge and so far so good i have been getting complements on my posts.

WHERE I SEE MYSELF IN THE NEXT 3YEARS

I remember saying that visualizing is to see with the eyes of your mind. So with what i have been able to see with the eyes of my mind i can say;

• I see my self as one of the big investors on steemit: yes i see my self in that light. Investments are good and there is no better place to invest if not on steem and steem power via steemit platform. I would to be able to use my investment power to support new bies through voting those who make original quality posts.

• I see myself serving as a great mentor to many on steemit; teaching is one of my hobbies. In 3 years time i see my self so developed in that area, mentoring alot of people on the platform, through owning my own community and making helpful articles and of course spreading the good news of steemit and encouraging as many to come on board.

• In 3 years time i should be able to own an establishment which is steemit inclined where i can connect steemians physically just like we have our various communities on steemit that connect steemians from all over the world. That would be amazing!

• I see myself grow along side the platform in three years time: steemit as a platform is not static. It is dynamic in nature, so me as apart of steemit in 3 years time should be able to move with the current trend of steemit else i will be left behind. The way the platform was 5years ago is not how it is today, things have really changed. I remember early this year steem cost 90 naira for one but today the price has changed. I also know that formaly TRoN as a crytocurrency was not integrated to steem but now it is. So there has been some amazing change, which is positive. So in 3years time steemit wont be like this neither will i remain in this level i am now.

HOW I PLAN TO ACHIEVE MY GOALS

We all know that planing after setting goals is very important if you must achieve all you have said you will do. I plan to achieve my vision by doing the following things:

• For my vision of becoming a big investor on steemit, i plan to first i plan on buying steem with my money and holding it in my wallet. The second thing i plan to do is to begin to power up my post so i can build my steem power. And the 3rd thing i will do is to have some savings in my wallet in form of SBD, steem and steempower.
  I believe doing this 3 things will help me achieve my dream of becoming a big investor on steemit in 3years time.

• To achieve my vision of becoming a great mentor on steemit, i plan on learning from those who have gone ahead of me on steemit, i mean those i look up to, i read their articles and also follow them, i read their stories of how they made it on steemit and am charged up to continue becomes am not alone. I have the likes of @focusnow @bright-obias @stephenkendal @dobartim @belenguerra @cryptokannon and of course @talktofaith.

• To own an establishment which is steemit inclined i should be able able to learn the act of saving. I hear some people say Rome was not built in day and i think i agree. Been able to save will help me go a long way to achieve this visions. There is nothing as sweet as using your own money to get what you want. Going to get loans to borrow just to make this dream come a life is not worth it for me, so i prefer to use my money to make it come true. I know it will take a lot but am willing to pay the price.

• Growing along side with steemit, i intend to achieve this by constantly updating my self with the latest knowledge about blockchain especially with steemit, making more research to also keep updated and constantly visiting @steemitblog to know the latest update. And also participating on steemit without giving up. Doing all these i believe will help me grow along side with steemit.

CONCLUSION

Its been an amazing journey on steemit and i hope to see all my dreams, visions and goals come through. Am doing all i can to make sure i get to the top. A big thank you to steemit for coming to my rescue!
