My Father by name, Kalu Egwuonwu hailed from Amaofufe village in Igbere but resided mostly at his materal village, Amankalu, same in Igbere in Bende Local Government area of Abia State, Nigeria. He happened to be the last born in his family of three with two seniors, my uncle and my only surviving aunty in her nineties now. My father died when I was barely Five years old. Like I said at the outset, He labored for us and show us, his children love. I don't have any wonderful picture of him or have a great deals with him but know him very well by a verifible hearsay. He was famous and popular by his nickname "KALU ACB". Do you want to know more about his famous nickname? Join me on the next section.
OCCUPATION

This nickname is the name of his transportation company, ACB. He is well known transporter that carries goods and passengers between Aba to Igbere, His hometown and its environs. He was trusted and treasured by all. His lorry was home for all. He was industrious and take very good care of himself and his lorry. His lorry was two and popularly called 911. His company grew to the extent that he employed his junior cousins and my senior brothers. It was a family business. He was rich and can boast of many properties until the cold hand of death held him down.
His Family
Although being polgamous man, He loves everyone in his household. He had wives that begot children to him. He takes good care of his children and personally took us to churches and school before engaging in his own affairs. We never lack anything. We enjoyed the best life ever with him. He was respected by all. He was an angel with no evil. Nobody can talk bad against him in everything that he did while alive.
His Sacrifices
It is a know fact that he had a large family but he was industrious and provides everything for us. His wives were industrious too and had properties too on their own for their children. As a Driver and pariach, he wake up very early to service and warm up his lorries. That was a big sacrifice because everyone in the family depend on that for our survivial.
However, my father was kind and honest in his transportation deals to the extent that parents send their kids to him to take home knowingly that he will delivered dutifully and faithfully. This sacrifice help the family business to grew up boastfully.
His difficult situations.
Life is imbalanced. My father suffered a lot from his wives. Infighting and cheating was much and this troubled him a lot.
Moverover, my father suffered many fatal accidents and the last one damage his legs. During this, he was constantly in pains and There are fact that showed that it was the root cause of his death.
His Special Character.
Of all his wonderful behaviours, I will like to be honest as he was . Everyone trusted him with everything. I will strive harder to be self discliplined and self sufficient like him because it was these two qualities help him to be honest as he was.
I will like to be respected as he was. Nobody insulted him and try to spoil his good name and otherwise.

They married many wives because of their need and based on how they view life then. But now everything that will prompt anyone to engage in such is very obsolete, barbaric and archaic. It is unheard of. To manage only one now is harder than three then. Thanks for reading.
